Tell you what, dummy: if you can find in the KJV Bible where people are already in Hell, I will send a $1,000 donation in your name to your local NAMBLA chapter.

    You have 15 minutes.

    Tick tock!

As a recent member I don't know much about how to use the site, I'm sure I will be able to use this much more now I know how to properly quote things.

Thank you, and Mary Etheldreda (I don't know how to out two quotes in one post) Your information, backed up with so much extra scripture really helped me to understand.

    So, please define 'evil'.
I totally forgot, I tried to post again with a different version, but it said something about I was blocked from posting for 5 minutes.

By 'evil' what I meant, was somebody who was just a mean person. Perhaps not 'evil' as I worded it there, but more someone who was just all around rude, and mean to others.

I am just curious, and I mean no offence in any way.

Someone who wholeheartedly believes is incapable of being an evil person, for they are impervious to the temptations of sin (1st John 3:6-9).

Jesus DID NOT die for everyone. He certainly didn't die for people just because they're "nice."

He died for those that BELIEVE.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life.
    John 3:16
Everyone doesn't believe in Jesus, thus they will perish.

Those who believe, will be Saved(c).

Did you even read my sermon?

Or perhaps this thread is your way of finding the excuse to be a worthless human being and praying your way up to heaven, just a thought.

Of course you have our permission Sister Cathy. As a matter of fact, if you want to drive the message even deeper you may add words such as; nose, ears or eyes dripping with blood and or puss. Genetalia talking to you personally by name. Giant veins popping thru your skin emitting green slime. Yellow cat eyes. A vile stench emitting throughout your body. Yellow / greenish teeth. You get it.

The point is to drive the message of Christ's love on one single swing of the bat. A home run if you will. God bless you Sister. Your face brings me to tears.

As he eloquently explains, if Christianity were based on "good works" or being a "good person", then what is the point of being a Christian? As you would only need to be a good person in order to be saved.

Just like now, how there is no point in picking any other religion than Christianity now because they're all either partially or completely works based.

Even liberal false Christians are aware of John 3:16, though have they also seen John 3:18? It is pretty simple: Either you believe in Jesus or you're condemned. Clearly the thief who died on the cross next to Jesus did not live a life full of good works, and yet Jesus stated that the thief would join him in Heaven.

I'd like to add something. Using this same logic, we can also determine which section of Christianity to choose.

    .Baptists are correctCatholics are correct
    BaptistHeaven (+∞)Heaven (+∞)
    CatholicHell (-∞)Heaven (+∞)
Since Catholicism is based on whatever words their pope of the day decides to dream up, it is not really a fair comparison. However, even if there were an equal chance of these sections being correct, there would STILL be no point in being a Catholic. Do these Catholics have no sense at all?
