Re: Would you pull the trigger?
I guess we are a little bit compromised in Australia with us being part of the commonwealth and thus having to follow the laws of the monarchy as well as God's law. I am not sure what we are supposed to do when the two contradict.
Ezra 7:26 (King James Version)
26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Re: Would you pull the trigger?
I would follow God's law.
Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.
2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Reverent, this is a very good objection!Originally posted by Rev. M. Rodimer View PostWhy not both, Brother?
Shoot him/her in the shoulder or leg to disable, then tie it up and stone it. Soldier's safety assured, and God's law followed.
This connects perfectly Secular Law and Gods Law.

Why not both, Brother?Originally posted by Bobby-Joe View PostBrother Templeton,
I think you may need to consider Paul's works in Roman's 1:31. We need to have mercy in applying God's Law. Yes, by the letter of the Lord's law the soldier should tie the woman up and stone her, BUT what if she is a homosexual out to rape him? That close to a transvestite and the soldier would be left defneseless. He would never get his gun up in time to stop her from sodomizing him. The soldier needs to shoot that woman in self defense. I think we can all agree on that.

Would you pull the trigger?
32Yes!0%18No, its against humanity.0%4Lets tie her up and stone her later0%10
Situation:
Your a Christian-Soldier and your operation area is a godless country ( like Denmark, Iran or Belgium).
You are on a patrol, then you hear a noise. You go closer to the noise...
You jump around the corner and then your not sure what is in front of you.[See Picture above]
Is it a witch, or muselim woman? Or is it a homosexual tries to hide behind a black curtain? Waiting on his chance to infect you with H.I.V.?
Keep in mind that you have not much time to react! Pull the trigger and send this thing to hell or risk your life? Now please make your poll above.

Answer:
There is only one correct answer. Even if a bullet is the fastest way and the safest, it is necessary to tie it up and stone it.
On the one side, we are not 100% sure what the target really is, on the other side we need to fulfill God's law!
So maybe it is a witch, a muselim or a disguised homosexual.
Exclusion process:
If it is a witch:
Exodus 22
18Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
That gives us the right to kill it, if it is a witch. But important:
Leviticus 10
27A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
So we have to stone it, if it is a witch. But we are not sure so lets take a look if it is a homosexual?
If it is a homosexual:
Leviticus 20
13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
So the bible tells us, we have to kill homosexuals. It don't says how to, so we can stone the subject and fulfill God´s law! Even if we were wrong and it was a witch we did the right thing
But what if it really was a muselim woman?
Is God angry if we killed a muselim woman? The answer is no
- God told us that we have to right to kill everyone in occupied countries:
Deuteronomy 2
34And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
Further we need to find the whole family of the target and kill them all.
Isaiah 13
6Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
Finally, stoning is the best way to fulfill Gods Law!
If it is a homosexual, a witch or a muselim, stone it and praise Jesus!
Finally the evil gets what it deserves

(Not real- just as example)
Mission accomplished, Brothers!
