  • Why is Baptist Mission Work so Hard?

It's hard sometimes, especially when we're sowing benefits for sinners to reap, in order for them to have an Eternal Reward in Heaven. And we do this selflessly. So it's hard. For a number of reasons.

    Here are some:

    1) When you don't have a permanent Pastor (as is our case with our Bible Study group).

    2) People don't listen.
You hit them with the Message, the Truth, with the KJV1611 - and they just don't listen.

    3) False cults claiming to be Christianity: Jehovah's Witlesses, Catholicism, Calvinism, Mormonism, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Lutherans etc.
People who are in these already just can't seem to get out of the Hellbound rut their in.
Again, they won't listen. They fail to see that ours is the only Way to Salvation

    4) Women.
More and more they're being allowed to emasculate society with their whinging and making decisions which should be made by men.

    5) Men who allow women to make decisions.
They go against God's Law and make our work more difficult - as they leave decisions to women, and as we know, 'liberated' women listen to no-one but their own tiny-brained whimsical inner selves.

This really hampers our mission work.

    6) The British Monarchy.
They set a precedent centuries ago that started the trend of people thinking they could 'interpret' God's will for themselves. Their modern legacy is much of the above.

    7) Liberals. (See British Monarchy)

    8) TV.
People would rather watch TV than go to church. Again, ultimately the reponsibility for this goes back to the British Monarchy for liberliezing their society in such a way that they allowed their society to create an environment that would ultimately lead to the invention of TV by a Brit scientist with a silly name.

    9) The internet.
People are more likely to believe garbage they read on the internet than believe the Word of God from the Bible.

    10) Sex.
Sex is so much of a distraction that most heathens think of little else. Thjis distracts from the true pleasure of reading the Bible and obeying God's Laws. Aided and abetted by points 8 and 9, our task is an uphill struggle made worse by the combination of points 8+9+10+ 1+3, added to points4, 2, 5 and 7, we're left with a sticky mess to try to mop up in order to save humanity from itself.

    11) George Harrelson.
This dead Beetle set a trend for hippy cool buddhist religions to spread to Western Society and corrupt them from within making people think they had a choice in what they should believe. We know this is a false idol in itself. I'm sure even the worms found his corpse distasteful.

    12) Italy.
It gave the world the Papacy and the idea that one man could be God's voice on Earth AAAAANNNND be infallible. this is HERESY. Only God is infallible.

    14) Superstition.
This has made people believe more in bad luck and salt and spilt wine, broken mirrors and lucky numbers and fairies and goblins instead of being able to see misfortune for what it really is: God's Will and Infinite Wisdom.

    15) Foreigners.
They are unintelligible and generally of limited social skills, not to mention the fact that they find the KJV1611 extremely hard to understand. We try here to teach them proper American, sometimes through the inadequate medium of English first, and we have mixed success. Mainly due to their low IQs and deviant natures. But we try. We really do. The 9 young women and 1 man in our group is testimony to that.

    16) Most people are stupid. See points 1 to 14 for details.

So, as you can see, our job is hard, especially when we have families to raise and have our day jobs too.

Please spare a thought for us, but more importantly for the Pastors who have the REAL burden of responsibility in mission work.

I'm sure THEY'll be able to add to this incomplete list of mine.

Keep us in your prayers friends.

    A. McUinnean, of that Ilk, LBC Outreach, Southern Europe / Western Parish / Dept. of Bible Study & Translation.

Sometimes it's a blessing to be a True Christian(TM) woman. I don't think I could take the day to day abuse you men get out in the sickular world.

We have to take the slings and arrows sister, and I'm not proud to say I've swung a few punches back instead of turning the other cheecks. Once I actually was tempted to show all my cheeks but listened to Jesus telling me not to be so crass so I didn't.

In any case, I do not consider myself an adequate missionary in the sense of being able to save souls with spiritual dragnets since I'm not a Pastor like Revs. Osborne or Rodimer or Zeke.

I'm just the little guy out in a boat in a fast flowing river with the coarse piece of string, crude hook and wriggling worm trying to save a soul here and there.

We do what we can, but we're no match for what a Pastor can do.
But thank you for the thought.

      YIC, McU.

        Foreigners (15) are stupid too.

        There is also Hats. 1 2 3 4

It is fortunate for Spain to have you Mr McUinnean. Those swarthy Europeans must make it hard for you, but I am sure you persevere until you deliver the load Jesus has placed upon you, inspiring your witness in so heathen a place.
There are one or two Spanishes on the forum, and it is evident from their "opinions" that Satan is very active in Spain. I don't really think of Englishes or Americans as "foreign" but both countries have made unusual hats which many feeble minded types wear here in public. It is as if they just don't care and let Satan stick it up anywhere like Princess B with that idiotic thing poking up on her head Satan's hand in the milliner is clear to see.

Around here there are no Baptist missionaries. There are some Jehovah's Witnesses and some Mormons I think, but most people are libidinous heathens prowling around at night ½ naked servicing the foreign tourists and seducing one another with lies. I Timothy 4:1 You would find it very hard here Mr McUinnean and just when you'd think His message was reaching that special place inside the fornicating pagan soul where God's Truth can change them forever they come up with some outrageous new idea and you'd be right back where you started.

I Corinthians 11:6 For if the woman be not covered , let her also be shorn : but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven , let her be covered .

Now I understand that in New Zealand they shear 'em, but Australian men are much more selfish. It's every man for himself and every woman for Satan. What with millinery and the muster can there be any hope for us at all?

I ache for the day when a Real Baptist missionary comes into this valley with The Truth. He will be made welcome but the men lurk so horribly in the forest and with Satan so inside everyone else it will be hard. Very hard indeed.

Thank you Mitza. Profound and gushing with intelligence and insight, as always. And yes, Spain (and now Portugal is in my sphere of work too) is indeed a place that makes a hard spot for missionaries in pour position. We do what we can. We provide the service but alas...with limited success, which was what prompted my OP.

As for the hats: Napkin number 4 wins outright every time. Appropriate really. Napkins for wiping away the drool...

Hoping you are well, waxing musical and safe in Christ,

          McU.

That is a horrible thought. I have heard that Portugese women are very unattractive. Do you know whether the mahommodans ever got in there when they were marauding around Spain c 900 - 1492 (or whenever it was)?

The hairiness, swarthiness and ugliness of the language ( which I unfortunately speak reasonably well) certainly testify to it.

They're far darker than Spaniards, who, for the most part North, East, South-East and Central are normal whity Europeans, many blondes, blue eyes, a bit of everything really.

But Andalucía & Extremedura...is where the Moorish Iberia starts...and then include ALL of Portugal.

My brother had a Portuguese partner ( sinful - he too is unsaved trash - though I love him, after all, I plan to save him too) of 5 years.

Evil, manipulative ( OK, those aren't exclusively Portuguese features, that's just 'weemin' in general) and all round malcontent with a fiery temper and 'impregnate me' look at any man.

In those 5 years she spent more on razors than he did in 20.

Portuguese. Like dwarves - both male and female have the beards.

I gather then that the Brazilian trend for waxing has not reached their co-linguists then.

I think that the Brazilians vs. Portuguese is one of kind example where race mixing has actually improved the situation. Of course the Portuguese were already mixed.
