It doesn't say that in the bible. It doesn't say exactly that they were sent. But that aside, he was building a wooden boat......a wooden boat....that much cargo....not to mention the problem with docile and predatory animals in the same space......gah.....can anyone say physically impossible?

Maybe impossible for you but not for Noah as he had God's help. God sent the animals to Noah, made sure the predators wouldn't eat the prey, made sure there was enough room for them all, etc.

God does not have the same limits of measly humans, He can do anything He wants. Stop trying to project your own limitations onto God Almighty.

'Noah' had to build this 'ark' in a very short amount of time. One man, and his family. It isn't like he had a crew of thousands as built the Titanic.

That's right. He had GOD on his side. With God, all things are possible, harlot. God created the universe in 6 days and then slept in on the 7th. what is that compared with building a toy boat?

Look, if you are going to go down THAT road, why not say that Noah didn't have any metal tools or engineering knowledge, nor had he probably even SEEN a boat before. We keep trying to tell you that IT DOESN'T MATTER! GOD DID IT!

Well, if through 'god' all things are possible, wouldn't he have an answer to the oil crisis, global warming, and the fact that our air is slowly becoming unbreathable?

Oh don't worry your empty little head about me. Long before it comes to that, the four horsemen of the apocalypse will be riding across your front yard, dropping a steaming load on your heathen rosebushes. Those are the only horsies you need to think about.

Revelation 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

That is how much Jesus loves us. GLORY!!

The bible claims that Noah did it.

Yes, Noah did it through Divine Inspiration. The same way I post.

Simple. Because you have not tithed enough to the TRUE CHRISTIAN(TM) faith to have a vested interest. Believe me, when we finally get your daughter, you will be praying every day!

I would have gotten around to it, Pastor.

I do not believe in your god, or your bible, but let's look at this as if it really had happened. Impossible is impossible, and he was meant to be an old, old man.
As to the 'divine inspiration thing....so many things I could say there....so little time

Simple. Because you have not tithed enough to the TRUE CHRISTIAN(TM) faith to have a vested interest. Believe me, when we finally get your daughter, you will be praying every day!

Heh. You'll never get her. You keep threatening to get Lilith and I, and so far all you've provided is missionaries who keep my rottweilers in good shape.
And Daisy and Raptor are as protective as my husband and I.

                            Haha!
Isn't it a little ironic to prepare for an event you don't think will happen? (ie the oil crisis)?

                              My poor hellbound.
I really believe you aren't beyond saving. Your interest in the Bible is a good start. Now regarding the topic at hand may I direct you to these words:
                              "
John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 is quoted more than any other verse in the Bible, at least by Christians and other church-goers. There may be no verse that is more frequently perverted than this one, but most people still know the full verse as presented by the KJV. Why then, is it so hard to find the word 'begotten' in other versions? The word in question is 'monogenes'. This is a compound of two words monos and genes, the latter being drawn from the verb genao, which means to beget or cause to be produced. Monos means only or single, as is clear by its many appearances in English, such as monotony, monopoly, monotone, etc. Genao has come into the English language as well in words like generation, genesis, genes, generate, and so forth. The two words together mean only-begotten"

This is written by a man with not only Godly Bible knowledge, he has a PHD! This man is John Hinton and he knows what he's talking about!
                              Here is the complete article:
                              Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Re: John 3:16, how could it be true?

But Eliot, it doesn't change the argument I made at the beginning of the thread. The angel 'came in unto Mary', and I provided a few examples of just what the bible meant when it said 'came in unto'. Therefore it would seem like the angel in the story, and not 'god', did the begetting.

Which would make John 3:16 untrue.

Not to mention those other 'sons of god' that were mentioned earlier.
