What do Christians mean when the say today that Jesus died "for their sins" some 2000 years ago? Nobody born since before he died played any role whatsoever in his death so why do Christians apparently blame everybody born since for his demise? That just confounds me and I figured the Christian history forum is as good a place as any to start.

I have heard smoking the devil weed can make people post nonsensical things like this.Originally posted by Nobar King View PostWhat?? Are you on drugs? It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Once you learn to type properly, you may be listened to. These are Jesus' favorite forums, show some respect.
Christians don't blame everyone since for his demise. We blame the Joos for nailing him to the cross.
P.S.- What's with that Egyptian looking symbol in your avatar? This is a Christian forum, you know!Cling to your guns and religion. "Change" is here.

Re: A legitimate question
Maybe if you would open up a Bible you would easily find the answer to your question. The simple answer is that everyone is born a sinner, but Christ's sacrifice on the cross washes away our sins when we accept Him as our Savior.Originally posted by MirthMenace View PostI stand corrected and humbled.

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Of course Christ's sacrifice extends to everyone in the future, as well.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

We don't blame everybody born in the last 2,000 years for Jesus's death. Re: A legitimate question
I may be the rare exception, and this may indeed stump even the most seasoned man of the cloth among you, but I was actually not "born a sinner". I was born a baby and, at least for many years thereafter, behavior that could be construed by some as "sinning" was really the furthest thing from my mind. That would change. But seriously, when I was born I was guilty of nothing, at least nothing that would stand up in court.Originally posted by Rev. Re: A legitimate question
Incidentally, Rev. Osborne, do you point me toward Bible passages to answer what you cannot in your own words? I'd like to know how the clergy explain this in a conversation ostensibly aimed at converting someone to your beliefs. Are you or any among you able to put it into words instead of simply citing scripture?

Re: A legitimate question
We are born with sin. Here's just two quotes from the Bible which tell us that.
Psalms 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother
conceive me."
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
I know, since you are a Godmocker, you feel that the Bible doesn't apply to you but it does. Simply burying your head in the sand will not make the problem go away.
Would you be willing to accept Jesus Christ as your savior this evening?

Scripture is an absolute truth. What better to cite than what came directly from the Lord himself?Originally posted by MirthMenace View PostIncidentally, Rev. You are born with Sin, as dictated by the Good Reverend above. The courts on Earth are important, but shall never come close to the importance of the Lords' judgement. My friend, I fear you will fail that judgement.Originally posted by MirthMenace View PostBut seriously, when I was born I was guilty of nothing, at least nothing that would stand up in court.Cling to your guns and religion. That's her problem.
Romans 3:23As previously mentioned, at the time of my birth, I was a baby, guilty of nothing."For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Still no answers to my questions? Who has whose head in the sand?I know, since you are a Godmocker, you feel that the Bible doesn't apply to you but it does. Simply burying your head in the sand will not make the problem go away.
Um, let me get back to you on that.Would you be willing to accept Jesus Christ as your savior this evening?

Re: A legitimate question
If you are conceived in fire, I assure you that when you come out, you'll be on fire. The same goes with sin. God declared that all Christians must be cleansed, and they shall. If you were not, then you are walking damned until you do. Though, even if you were, it probably won't make much of a difference.Cling to your guns and religion. "Change" is here.

Re: A legitimate question
You don't get to decide that, sinner. Jesus says you're a no good sinner from birth and therefore you are. Case Closed.Originally posted by MirthMenace View PostAs previously mentioned, at the time of my birth, I was a baby, guilty of nothing.
Look at this little depraved sinner, born from his mother's womb as a prime candidate for eternal damnation before he could even walk or talk!!!

Here another one. Clearly into the nigra lifestyle with its backwards ball cap and obviously it has already embrassed the homersexural lifestyle with all that pink. You still think babies are without sin?

You, like those two, were born into sin. Only Jesus can Save you. Let Him into your heart.Master of Godly Debating
