Re: What's so special about the United States?

You do realize that the only time foreign soldiers of any number set foot on American soil was during the Revolutionary War? (Your people call it the Rebellion of the American Colonies but that's so one-sided )

The Hessian soldiers that God sent us to oust your Red Coats and their deranged King were a "loaner" from God, and played a small but handy part of this first truly holy war since Biblical Times.

Since then, God has clearly protected this country. After yours lost its grip upon us, the sun began to set on the British Empire because God was clearly shining His favor upon us. How else do you suppose we won if not for divine intervention? Britian was the major superpower of the day and we sent 'em back home with red behinds to match their red coats. They immediately made themselves a cup of tea to comfort themselves over their humilation.

    Patrioticly Yours,

Well, there was that incident in 1812 where the British burnt down the White House, but other than that your post was rubbish.

I see you're planning on becoming a landovarin. Such a pity.

Converting to a baptist has shaved off 40 IQ points from her.

You mean the "patrioticly yours" thing. Well . . .

              a) Only God is perfect; that's why all those folk in the Bible have all them complicated, fancy names. The Lord knew He could handle it; afterall, who's gonna challenge HIM to a spelling bee?!

              b) I don't usually concern myself too much over the spelling of my little sign offs, because half the time those are made up words anyway.

              c) Referencing points a) and b) A girl's gotta learn to let some things go.
My stubborn pride in producing perfectly written posts is taking time and energy away from what really matters -- letting hell-bound sinners know just how wrong they are and how hot it's gonna be when they get there!

Also, my only dictionary is a puny little thing. Can't find half the words I need, but it does have "refulgent" in it. Like I'll be needin' that anytime before the Rapture.

              p-a-t-r-i-o-t-i-c-a-l-l-y yours,

              Handmaiden

p.s. Being taken down 40 points on my IQ leaves me just under average, and makes it easier to devote myself to God's word. AND, I won a free t-shirt by knowing that litle factoid about the German soldiers on American soil during the Revolution, so there, smarty-pants!

Re: What's so special about the United States?

I also note in pre-Columbian America, the native peoples lived in a land of unparalleled mineral wealth, enormous agricultural potential, and astonishing energy reserves; coal, oil, hydro-power, etc. but they outraged God in failing to advance themselves by using the plenty He had provided them. Then when white settlers arrived and discovered and used those resources of the land, God blessed their enterprise and granted them dominion over the earth.

Since this pretty much occurred after King James restored His Holy Scripture, it is not surprising that the Bible does not record it. But note, those settlers wielded the King James Bible as they settled the American continent, and even as they did it, they were aware of God's blessing of their manifest destiny.
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Re: What's so special about the United States?

Up here in the north I think many of us are carrying on God's work too.

We cut the fine timber and open up new areas for folks willing to work hard and build their families. Watching the spread of Godly civilization is both exciting and a testament to His plan. That some of the natives have to be culled is just showing that God is serious in his desire to see His will carried out for the Godly to prosper.
