  • Slavery: God's Gift to Africans

    Dear Friends,

When certain Communist elements among our darker brethern start talking about reparations for slavery, I hasten to remind them that they paid NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH for the incalculable benefit of being brought out of Africa to this great land of ours. Have they seen the pictures with Sally Smothers from Ethiopia? Did they watch LiveAid? I say each and every black person either pay what he owes to the white man or get sent back to the rear end of the world from whence he came. And I mean that completely non-racially.

    Yours in Him,

Well you might have a point because one of the greatest singers in the world (Fred Mercury of Queen) was born in Africa and was a big part of live Aid. Died of Aids, go figure....

If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

Right to the point, Brother Bob. The great theologian David Chilton noted the benefits of righteous slavery, much as you describe them:

We should especially note God's merciful justice here. Heathen slaves who were purchased or captured in war were actually favored by this law, since It placed them in contact with believers. They received the relatively lenient treatment of the biblical slavery regulations, and they were also able to hear the liberating message of the gospel....
Slavery is Biblical as baptism. Here are more of Chilton's thoughts on slavery, written in 1981.

"The bible permits slavery. This statement will come as a shock to most people. The laws in the Bible concerning slavery have very seldom been studied, much less preached upon. But the biblical laws concerning slavery are among the most beneficent in all the Bible...."

"Slaves have no economic incentive to work, since they cannot improve their situation regardless of how hard they labor. Therefore the master is allowed to provide that incentive by beating them (Exodus 21:20-27)....The law limited the master, however. If he murdered his slave, he was executed (Exodus 21:20). On the other hand, if the slave survived a beating and died a day or two later, there was no punishment (Exodus 21:21); there was no evidence that the master had actually intended to murder him."

"Relatively minor but permanent injuries (such as the loss of an eye or a tooth) resulted in the slave's freedom (Exodus 21:26-27). This was also an economic incentive to keep the master from hitting the slave in the face, since a heavy blow could mean the loss of his 'investment.' Naturally, this law protected slaves from severe mutilation."
So many people misunderstand the "beneficent" institution of slavery...it is Biblical and righteous to beat a slave almost to death -- badly enough that he dies a few days later -- but not to kill him outright. What could be more merciful than that?

And, as Chilton mentioned, slavery has the potential to bring heathens with Godly Christian men who will beat them almost to death. If that isn't an incentive to recognize the loving and merciful nature of Christianity then I don't know what is.

Re: Slavery: God's Gift to Africans

It's quite simple. If slavery was as bad as everyone makes out, then everyone would want to be free, and no-one would want to be a slave. But if that was the case, then the passage Deuteronomy 15:16-17, explaining how to nail a slave's ear to the door if he does not want to be freed, would be bizarre, irrelevant nonsense. It is quite clear that God would not allow insane gibberish with no relevance to the real world to be included in His book, so therefore slavery must logically have some upsides.

        Deuteronomy 15:16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I must say the mere idea of slavery not ever existing brings me pangs great horror and disgust. At this very moment, instead of living in a deluxe apartment in Freehold, recieving the greatest education that money can buy, and being secure in the fact that I will not spend an eternity in Hell Fire when this earthly life is over; I could be swinging from a tree somewhere in Africa eating my siblings, sticking bones through my nose, and contracting the AIDS from gorilla buggery. I'd always have to be the loudest and most abnoxious male in order to maintain my alpha status just like you see on National Geographics or Detroit. I wouldn't even be standing here before you with a soul not to mention that I'd be so hideous to lay eyes upon. Could you imagine being born into a society were the "women" look just like the "men":To be truely born homosexual and not chose to be a gay like normal people who chose to be abnormal? The prospect is very dismal indeed and judging by the dismay and anarchy taking over Africa after all the whites were killed or stripped of their property I'd say it's high time America started sending some ships over there.

God bless America and God bless Slavery! AMEN!!

This is such a POSITIVE thread! I love it when everybody agrees. But now let's ask, "Who is slavery helping today?"
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

                An excellent question, Brother Nobar!

It is my understanding that illegal aliens are frequently treated much like slaves; in return for 12 hours a day of backbreaking work, they can retire to a roach- and rat-infested studio apartment shared with their wife, sixteen children, and two cousins and their families. Food is cheap and plentiful . . . it scampers by all the time. All one must do is put out a hand and catch dinner!

Praise the Lord for sparing these Mexican'ts from the horrors of living in Mexico!

Yet another thread made of ignorance and Fail (Facepalm.) I wanna see the white man on the ground bowing to a slave driver of another color and see how they like it. I think its funny that you people talk about doing things to others that you yourselves would not volunteer for. Very amusing. It would be hillarious to have an american holocaust...With america on the the receveing end. (Forgive my spelling.)

Give me a break, Kunta Kinta. If it wasn't for those Godly white Christian slavetraders transferring your forebears here to God's favorite country, you'd be out right now in the middle of the jungle swinging from trees with a bone in your nose, instead of sitting in your warm Internet cafe / hippie coffeehouse typing Bob Marley wannabe nonsense while sipping on a Godly American Starbucks cappacino.

Re: Slavery: God's Gift to Africans

The Bible is the handbook on righteous slavery. And Jesus never preached against righteous Biblical slavery.

Mr. Rastaman is certainly free to write his opinion. He can hate and despise slavery if he wants to.

If Mr. Rastaman wants to hate God and hate Jesus the Christ, he is free to do that.

If Mr. Rastaman wants to hate the Christian religion and all it stands for, he is free to do that.

But as surely as God loves America the Christian right will make it HELL ON EARTH for those who hate Christianity! Yessir!

Maybe Mr. Rastaman should have listened a little more carefully when Mike Huckabee said that he was going to change the Constitution to bring it into line with Bible law...BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HE SAID!

Yes, Huckabee's Bible law means that just maybe slaves better get used to hearin' that ole bullwhip cracking again!

Praise God! Praise the Christian Right! And praise Godly Christian leaders like Mike Huckabee!

                      Keeeeeeee-RACK!

Amen Brother!! No matter how these unsaved heathens try, they cannot shake us loose from our faith in God's Holy Word!

Nowhere in the Bible can they find any wiggle room on this point: God tells us that slavery is a fine and wonderful institution! Slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves. Glory!!

Christ-killing joos and false Christians will try and tell you otherwise, but it is a cold hard fact that God loves slavery.

For those interested, I recommend trying your hand at THIS Bible quiz on the subject of slavery.

My first post here, but I couldn't agree more Brother It's unfortunate and backward my own country (Australia) also prohibits slavery.Luckily, we have ways to work around these laws. P.S. You won't read any "G'day" style greetings in my posts . Such filth is completely homosexual.
