        Gosh, I thought this mystery about me was solved. No, no, no, I am not a witch. The witch/cat thing is a myth. (Probably started by Cathlik dog lovers or people who feared the independence of these small creatures or the hair on their furniture.) Nowhere in the Bible is there even a mention of cats - not good or evil. Kind of like asking are giraffes evil. America owes these animals a great debt for controlling vermin in feed and vermin that can spread plague. Case and point: Cats are here on Earth. So, one would have to believe that God felt strongly enough about cats to include a male and female on the Ark. Without them, maybe the animals on the Ark would have starved because the mice would have overpopulated and eaten all the grain.

        I was an atheist/agnostic/nonbeliever for the majority of my life. (Probably due to my early up-bringing as a Cathlik.) Later in life, we chose to rescue cats and Hester was the last rescue and most remarkable one as well as the reason why I am here to learn and listen.

        Would you rather have strays reproducing and running around pooping in your garden?

            Sorry, Old Man Hatchet, I thought this was the Science forum and I was trying to make references that a Nonbeliever might actually understand since the individual my conversation was directed toward seemed to have a tough grasp of the topic when being giving a great deal of scripture.

            What words would you have chosen instead and I will use them next time someone asks me about cat rescuing and its purpose? You do realize the ferel cat population in many states is a huge issue and these poor animals become a blight on the landscape? Their natural predictors have been wiped out by urban sprawl. Their numbers continue to rise as individuals throw their unfixed cats out the door when they can no longer afford to feed or care for them.

                Well, I can see why you might think Peta would be a great place for me. However, I cannot stand them. As you can see I am wearing my mother's antique fur in my picture and if anyone threw paint on it they would be in trouble because I am nearly six feet tall and (as some here have noticed) I can be quite nasty. I came here to learn and listen and read. My goal is to have a better understanding of what God wants of me, why my wretched life has been spared or at least death delayed and how to become a True Christian before it is too late.

                The cat was a simple catalyst - no pun intended.

                    If the cat's natural predator has gone, maybe we should be allowed to shoot more of them to stop witches benefiting from their abundance? And of course giraffe's are evil - the only other thing with a neck as long is Celine Dion. And she had VERY bad teeth before some major dental reconstruction (probably a joo dentist too)
