Re: Proof of Intelligent Design: the banana!
@ well-named one,
All I see is Dawkins spouting apologies for his cowardice and making cheap sots at God. No refutation of intelligent design at all.
What if I said, I'm banning you because I don't want to appear on the same platform as you? What would you say?

Then you agree, the banana, as we know it today, was intelligently designed.Originally posted by Queenslander View PostI am a banana grower and have studied horticulture. Not sure if you are aware but the banana was not created in its present form. The bananas you are describing are a selectively cultivated variety that comes from a mutated plant discovered by Jean Francois Poujot in 1836. The original plantain bananas are not really edible raw. While god may have had this future mutation in mind when he designed the plantain, there were no smiley shaped yellow bananas in the garden of eden.

(Genesis 1:29) "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."
You've studied plants...God STARTED 'em.

Re: Proof of Intelligent Design: the banana!
There is indeed a red banana which is a result of heathen breeding practices. In the creation it was made yellow and this is how God intended it to be eaten.Originally posted by JACKKKKASSS View Postoh good lord.
also, not all bannannas are yellow, there are red, purple, hundreds of varieties

Jenny its just like a female to go prattling on about some kitchen slut!I admit that the banana video isn't my favorite, as that Kirk Cameron keeps trying to steal the show from Ray.

Re: Proof of Intelligent Design: the banana!
That is exactly what the Godly Ray Comfort is asserting. You are presented with direct evidence of God's existence and you just dismiss it. I am sorry friend we can not prove God beyond an unreasonable doubt.Originally posted by JACKKKKASSS View Postoh good lord.
you are not actually suggesting that god made bannanas yellow because thousands of years later somone would make this:
also, not all bannannas are yellow, there are red, purple, hundreds of varieties

Have you seen children eating bananas? They are invariably happy.Originally posted by JACKKKKASSS View Postoh good lord.

Have you seen the bend in a banana? It looks exactly like a smile.
Do you expect any rational person to believe all this just happened by chance? How did bananas just "evolve" to have smiley charateristics? Science and evolution take more faith to believe than the average sane person has.
Your brother in Christ, NC.
