We don't. Ever heard of wisdom teeth? They are rudimentary teeth left over from our ancestors who had larger jawbones.

Adam and Eve had perfect teeth but when they were forced out of the garden and had to eat not from the magic trees but what Adam tilled from the ground whence he came (Genesis 3:23), their teeth go all crooked and stuff.
