You just can't take Genesis literally if you want to stay within the realm of reason.

Gravity is implicitly mentioned in the Bible. Just taking a look at random Bible verses, we can find...

Genesis 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Obviously for something to rain out of heaven would require gravity. The verse doesn't say the fire and brimstone just sat floating around, as it would be in a zero-gravity environment.

A scientific theory and the word "theory" as used in common speech aren't the same. A theory in science is the highest description of a fact or natural occurrence. Evolution happens, the Theory of Evolution explains how and why it happens. It is just like the Theory of Gravity. Gravity happens, the Theory of Gravity explains how and why it happens.

So now I ask you, is gravity "just a theory?"

Which just shows the severe limits of secular science. Science deals in theories, God deals in facts. The Genesis creation account is not a "theory", it is a Fact. Wouldn't you say a Fact has more weight than a Theory?

First of all, Genesis is not a fact, it is a book. Second, a scientific theory is comprised of thousands of facts to explain a natural occurrence. Look at it this way; if if you hold a stone in your hand and drop it, it is a fact that it will fall to Earth. Now, the Theory of Gravity explains why the stone falls to Earth. In this regard, a scientific theory is held to a higher standard than a fact. A fact is just something that happens, the theory is its explanation.

I have read the Bible. I took bible study until early adulthood. Why would god laugh at his beloved creation for using the minds that he gave to us?

Why do you think that they have to make a new flu vaccine every year? The virus evolves and becomes resistant to the previous year's vaccine. This is evolution happening right before our eyes.

Just because evolution is a fact doesn't mean that god doesn't exist.

A stone will fall, thats a fact. Unless God Wills it not to fall then it won't. Thats also a fact.

Now for your stupid argument of comparing gravity with evolution saying they are both "facts" let me ask you this: When defining gravity are we speculating about something that we claim happened over millions of years (when no one was there to see it) or are we observing a stone fall with our own eyes? What sceintist in the world has EVER seen a fish grow legs and lungs and turn into a warm blooded lizard? What sceintist has EVER seen an ape give birth to a human child? None! No one has! Its all speculation devised by the devil to stop people from coming to know Jesus.

If evolution was true then cats would have grown tin openers on their hands by now.
