Once again my dear "neighbor." You have yet again you have contradicted yourself. The bible does not speak of the creation of the universe. Heaven is specifically that, heaven (which does not exist) and the Earth, which is the place we all live on.

No date was given to the creation of the universe or the Earth. Let me say that one more time so you will understand. No DATE, was given to the creation of the universe or the Earth.

You my dear "neighbor" have taken it upon yourself to interpret the heavens as being the universe (even though the bible does not state so) and from there are arguing with me that the earth is 6000 years old on your own accord. Your argument's are full of holes my friend. Good day sir

Are you bit slow or something? I did not interpret anything, I quoted word of God as it is. Bible is very clear with this.

    Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
So as you can see, earth is 5 days older than Adam. On my previous post I posted complete lineage for you to see from God to Jesus. Are you afraid to do the math yourself?

I thoroughly enjoy catching both of you in a contradiction. It makes this so much more fun!!

Basilissa quoted this scripture: "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." Right?

Now, Alphonse Alban said this, Well, Adam is only few days younger than earth so you can easily do the math from Adam to Jesus. Just remember that people born before the flood lived commonly to over 900 years old. Like Noah, he still lived 350 years after the flood and died at age of 950."

To me, it seems that Alphonse is "privately interpreting" the bible. Hmmm, wouldn't that make him a sinner? No where in the bible does it state the true age of earth or at which date it was created by God, and yet Alphonse took it upon himself to interpret it based on his own beliefs, not Gods.

Did you say you had a PhD in something related to religions, or am I confusing you with some other unsaved trash? Anyway, the Bible gives us about 4000 years since the creation of the world to the birth of , when you add up all of the genealogies. Adding 2000 years that have passed since, we get to 6000 years. (You can read more about that here).

I never said parables was stated in the bible, if I did, show me. A parable is "a type of analogy", something the bible is in its whole.
That is not what the Bible says, sweetheart:
    2 Peter 1:20-21

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

You guys are still being hypocrites by using a laptop/computer (its technology which is something you guys despise) to spread the word of the lord. Why don't you get off your butt and spread the word verbally and face to face with each person.
Oh, we do that, too, believe me! I try to save every atheist scumbag that I know in real life!

We use technology to spread God's will.

Second of all, a book is not hard evidence of what happened in the past. How do you guys explain bones of dinosaurs dating back millions of years?
    See my signature?

    Exactly.

How is a book a definitive explanation of this reality?
Because it is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16).

Its not, the Bible is a wonderful book to read as it gives great advice on how one should live their life,
Oh, I'm glad that we agree on something! Yes, Bible is filled with such wonderful advices on slavery (Leviticus 25:44-46), how to treat unbelievers (Deuteronomy 20:16), what to serve strangers (Deuteronomy 14:21; personally, I include roadkill in this category), and every other aspect of our lives!

but it is not a book on science or the creation of everything.
Huh? Have you ever heard of a Book called Genesis?

Those are what I like to call "parables." They are false, just like the beliefs that the earth is 5,000 years old.
Of course the earth is not 5000 years old. It is 6000 years old. And please tell me where in the Bible does it say that it is just a "parable." Exactly. It doesn't.

Of course it is. Everyone knows that earth was created along with everything else little over 6000 years ago. So it's much older than that 5000 years.

And how can they call someone who lived 5,000 years ago a caveman? It was probably one of the queers that God roasted in Sodom and Gommorrah.
These burials are clear proof that homosexuality leads to the demise of civilizations. Why else would that culture seize to exist during the last 5000 years?
