I was pained just to read the entire post, just to have the knowledge that so many people are so disgustingly ignorant of the love they could have, and try so hard just to laugh at the face of their creator.

As we all well know, everyone really knows God exists, but these people have actually made a PROFESSION out of spitting in the face of Jesus and the Lord because they get some sort of sick pleasure out of it.

I'd give a thorough explanation disproving every single piece of argument you have there, but then I realized it would be a waste of time, because you people don't listen. There is hard-core proof evidence behind every science. It explains the world around us. The bible is just a set of rules to follow. It's not all that you should believe. No need to hate on the truth. There are many loopholes in the bible. An example, is that you imply many things from the bible:

"We can impregnate our daughters, and it wont be considered rape!"

1: This is extremely immoral
2: The bible doesn't directly state this.
3: The fact that the guy knocked up hsi daughter doesn't make it alright 1 bit.
4: You use the facts that you ONLY believe what the bible says, however you also make up your own rules. So you contradict yourself in that. Where in the bible does it say you can't also believe in other things. Even things that conflict with the existence of god. You can believe the hard proven things, but that doesn't make god not exists. I believe in god 100%, however I believe in evolution because their methods and findings are 100% proven.

So by saying 'We only believe what the bible says', and saying 'We don't accept anything the bible doesn't mention', that means you don't accept cars exist, and other obvious things like that.

I suggest you keep it in moderation. take things other people say into consideration. There are many things 'trolls' contribute to this site that are actually very true, and you denying the facts cause you to be trolls.

Evolution exists: Fossils, carbon dating, half life, DNA, genes, mutation, natural selection, etc all prove it, along with MANY other things. It's amazing how far technology has come.

I believe there should be moderation. I want to be a good christian, but i dont also want to deny obvious facts that would be ignorant to deny. I dont think Jesus would want me to be stupid or ignorant.

Mircoscoptic creatures are never mentioned in the Bible at all, so we are forced to do a lot of rewriting of Genesis to account for their day of creation, and their presence or absence on the Ark.

I'm SURE new species have evolved since Noah's Arch as well. 2000+ years is not a long time, however, genetic drift is often rapid.

What type of God is it that you believe in? A distant god that doesn't care or intervene? A happy god that is the source of all good, but never the source of any evil.. Or maybe the God of the Bible who is a harsh taskmaster rewarding those who serve Him with eternity in paradise..

However, I really do not see logic in some of gods deeds. Or Christians thoughts. An example is that Charlemagne in ancient Rome gave the Edict of Milan. This allowed Christianity to spread to anyone who chose to believe in it. However, the Edict of Milan caused Romes downfall: The people of Rome started to believe in god over their emperors, and did not obey their leaders. this caused the downfall of Rome. So Rome allowed Christianity, so they were defeated. I see no logic in this. Rome gave the Lord more followers, yet they were punished for this. This is one of MANY cases.

However, the Edict of Milan caused Romes downfall: The people of Rome started to believe in god over their emperors, and did not obey their leaders. this caused the downfall of Rome. Three things.


First, we worship God, not gods.

Second, read the book of Job.

Third, God allows through free agency things to happen to good and bad people alike. Faith is belief or hope for things unseen. That means we are hoping and believing in a reward or reality beyond this one. Do we sometimes reap blessings when it is part of the Lord's plan? Yes. Do we sometimes see hard times when we think we are doing the right thing? Yes.

I heard a quote from one of my favorite church leaders a few weeks ago, "The gospel is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comforted."

There are times when we have plenty, and to do the right thing may seem difficult. Just because Rome was allowing Christians to do their thing because it was easier than fighting them, does not mean Rome was righteous or actively seeking to do God's work either. There is always more than you or I see.

Saying Christianity caused Rome to fall is completely fallacious. Rome fell apart over the use of slave labors and the lack of funds for the bread and circuses.
They became completely dependent of Gauls and later other tribes to defend them in the end.
They later came back as the Holy Roman Empire that lasted until the 1800's. There was the Byzantine empire in the east that held out until the late 1400's.

Also, you never took your pick about what type of God you believe in.

@William Sampson: Yes, they may have been factors that added to it, along with Rome's enormous size. However, the MAIN cause of their collapse was praising Christianity. Since Christianity appealed to the poor, lower classes, and 'cared' about them, it attracted many of the lower class to join. Now, since there were only few elites in Rome, and many poor surfs, Christianity dominated. While the higher ups, and senate was partially exclusive (first form of democracy in the world, however), the people could connect with Christianity much more. The people stopped being secular and stopped focusing on humanism, and would rather worship God and let their kingdom fall than follow the senate. The edict of Milan inevitably caused the fall of Rome.

Of course, later on many faults of Christianity occurred as well. Such as the corruption of the papacy, lust for power. around 1000-1500, the papacy was extremely powerful and was on par with the kings and queens power. I may get into this history later on, but for now, this is what i have to say.

I do really enjoy reviewing history with you. I really enjoy our conversations. I feel they are very intellectual.

So you think you know better than God? Maybe a touch of humility would help you there bucko. As for Christian thoughts, if they're not based in the KJV Bible, they're not anything.

Rome was never Christian, they just put Christian robes on their pagan message and it turned into the Catholic church. Hence all the lesser gods that are now called "saints" and other ritualistic garbage.

Denying Scientific fact is just plain mormonic, I think some people here may need to sit through basic school again. I believe that the Bible does harmonize completely with Science, some people will tell you otherwise though.

Perhaps, but are you misinterpreting the Bible to mean 2+2=5?

If the Bible contradicted something we knew as 100% fact (for example that man had three hearts, eight stomaches and 5 legs) then the Bible would lose credibility. This is not the case however, the Bible & Science DO harmonize.

If the Bible did say the things I mentioned formerly (which we know to be false) and we were to believe it then (and please don't take this offensively because it is a genuine question) what makes us any different to those who Believe the Quran, The Zoroasters, The Talmud or the Toa Te Ching?

Did you even read my post? I cited a dozen examples of Biblical truths that are contradictory, illogical, or mocked by science. Show me how those harmonize.
