Yes, the Bible is clear on this, sinfulness stems from the heart, not from the brain:

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? Proverbs 20:5

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. Isaiah 32:6

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? Matthew 9:4

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.... Matthew 15:19 (see also Marh 7:21)

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:8

Of course, it may well be that a sinful heart causes changes in the brain, so I believe this research is still of the utmost importance.

This is a very important discovery. Here at Landover University, we have been wondering for a while where sin was located. Of course, True Science(tm) still requires an influence on sin to stem from the heart:

But it is great to hear that this discovery has been made!

Maybe, somewhere in the future, we can now check whether or not people who claim to be Saved(tm) really are, as this can be easily tested:

1 John 3:6:
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

So we can check the State of any given person's Salvation(tm), neural activity in this region suggesting that sin is still present in the test person. Isn't God a Great and Mighty God, that He shares this wonderful wisdom with us?

I come to you today with an important discovery recently brought to my attention by my crack team of Creation Scientists here in Chicago.

Recent research, initiated by godless secularists and now taken up by good, BIBLICAL researchers at my nascent laboratory facility here in the Midwest confirms what we have long suspected.

There is a set of structures INSIDE THE HUMAN BRAIN that is responsible for the MOST HEINOUS SINS, my friends. Wicked secularlists have identified areas of the human neocortex (the "forebrain") which actually SHUT DOWN when the person is listening to HOLY, GOD FEARING HEALERS.

Co-incidentally, it happens that these same areas are responsible for rational "thought" and "critical thinking", traits which are well-known to lead to DISOBEDIENCE, LIBERALISM, and ATHEISM.

Schjødt’s team found that parts of the prefrontal and anterior cingulate cortices in the brain (the frontal network), which play key roles in vigilance and skepticism when judging whether a statement is true, were deactivated when the Pentecostal Christian subjects listened to a healer.

During the study, Schjødt and his colleagues scanned the brains of 20 Pentecostal Christians and 20 “secular” believers while playing them recorded prayers. The subjects were told that six of the prayers were read by a non-Christian, six by an ordinary Christian, and six by a healer. An independent analysis across subjects revealed that the deactivation of the cortices “predicted the Christian participants’ subsequent ratings of the speakers’ charisma and experience of God’s presence during prayer.”

You read that right, fellow Christians. The Sin Cortex is an actual, physical structure in the brain. When it is activated, the poor soul is DRIVEN TO DOUBT the words of his or her religious authorities. The unfortunate creature is MOVED TO DISOBEY the Word of the LORD. But there is hope! It is DEACTIVATED by GODLY CHRISTIAN PRAYER. It may be possible to shut it down FOR GOOD by means of a simple surgery known as a LOBOTOMY.

As we speak, Dr. Jacob John Matthew, head of my neurosurgery unit, is performing some initial experiments on a number of test subjects at my facility to find out if there might be a way to SAVE ALL THE DOUBTERS and unbelievers in the USA by means of MANDITORY LOBOTOMIES.
