A thing is that there is Gravity which naturally keeps things to the ground. The reason why the paper wont stick to the balloon is simple since the Earth is so big it cancels every other bit of gravity out meaning its impossible to do that unless you were to be in complete space and no gravity around. Second of all the Earth does move you say its in a fixed place. First off science can prove you wrong there the reason why we have day and night is because the earth rotates which means that the Earth does TECHNICALLY not stay in a fixed place because the Earth is moving. Or you can take how we get years into consideration. And for your jumping theory it is called gravity it keeps you to the ground obviously if that truck were bigger than the Earth you wouldn't fall from it.

I agree, we have proof that the Earth is round in the forms of pictures. Also if the Earth was flat explain to me why London, UK to Darwin, AUS is considerably longer than LA to Darwin, surely it would be longer wouldn't it?
