I'm not a Jesus hater, in the same way that I'm not a pink unicorn hater. Neither exist so what's the point 'hating' on them? I am very familiar with the bible, having read all it's contents and coming to the conclusion it was nonsense.

I have also read lots of Greek, Roman, Viking and English mythology. All are steeped in history and are very interetsing, but for your information, I put christianity in the same bracket as those other mythologies. Fascininating, but not true.

Light is not Jesus, light is created by photon movement that reflects off things and in to our eyes which allows us to see things. If Jesus was real, then he would have been a carbon based (like all things alive) and therefore light would be produced by carbon , but it is not. Geometry was not designed, it just is. Geomentry is part of the fundamental facts of the universe.

Real science books are not harmful, Religion is harmful. Religion is evil as it makes people satisfied with not understanding the world, and it also makes people do evil things, believing that they are good. Science is the instrument through which we correctly understand universe. Science is more than a body of knowledge, it's a way of thinking, a way of skeptically interrogating the universe. If we are not able to ask skeptical questions, to be skeptical of those in authority, then we are up for grabs. I can't belive the stories that have been made up, about our relationship to the universe, look at what's out there, it isn't in proportion! You don't have to delude yourself with the iron age fairytales of religion. But the same spiritual fufilament that people find in religion, can be found in science, by coming to know if you will the mind of god. But science brings us face to face with the deepest mysteries, that were once treated only in religion and myth. Science is the real way we understand what's out there, religion is an attempt to explain what is known and what will be known. You are saying only the bible is necesary but nost of what it says has been disproven by science.

There is no purpose of life, life is simply an inevitable consequence of complex carbon based chemistry connected with the correct environment. When conciousness evolved, sentient beings attempted to find a meaning to life by making up an imaginary friend in the sky who is omnipotent and omniscient. I used caves in this context to refer to the non technologically advanced stage of human history when we wore cow skin and hunted fish with pointy sticks ect. Life is not about getting to another life, as when you die, your brain dies too and you lose all that once made you you. Atheists realise this and therefore realise how precious life is and how lucky we are to have a few decades of life in the universe. Because we realise this is the only life, we treasure it. Why should I respect an evil, capricious, megalomanical, stupid made up god that is obviously the most evil character in all fiction.

Shut up heathen! I can't understand your big words so they must be false! The Bible has a good, and simple answer to every question. The answer to any question you might have is one word. GOD! You have no reason to concern yourself with things like light, and the earth. Listen to these good Christian people, and ignore the scummy lying secular scientists. Read your bible as well!

The Earth looks flat from the ground because you are not far enough away from it to see the curvature. It is also a fact of geometry that small sections of curved objects will always look flat to small creatures that crawl upon it.

Geometry was designed by God. The way light travels (light is also Jesus; see John 1:4) was designed by God. Unbelievers have fallen away from God's Grace and their senses have been obscured. God gives them false data to test their faith.

The others are usually harmful if they fail to praise God and His Creation. The Apostles knew this and they burned all the so-called higher knowledge of the Grease nations to avoid this.

Sir Isaac Newton said "that if I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants". The purpose of life has nothing to do with caves. Caves can be good if living in them makes people lead a life that concentrates on obeying God's Orders. Many people have found God because they lived in caves. This is very beneficial:

Life is not about comfort, health, having fun, being nice, enjoying or getting an education. Life is about getting to the next life in Heaven. We love the sinners and want them to get THIS:

You should understand that the Earthy life is a tiny speck in the Eternal Infinity of either Heaven or Hell. Only God and Jesus matter. If your vision tells you that the Earth is a sphere you must ask what Jesus would think of that. He would hate it as much as He hated Esau.

No thanks on the into page, I actually just want to ask those questions about what you guys believe and I'll be off the forum. Thanks for the invite to the forum (despite the insults from the other guys). I'm just a first-timer with a couple questions.
I didn't find answers to them in the first few pages, probably because the original intent of the thread was specifically for experiments to prove flat earth, and I just want to know where these beliefs originated from. Could one of you help explain? Just those three would be much appreciated.
