As Mr. Dewitt so clearly pointed out, it is written in the Bible that a) blasphemers shall be put to death by stoning and b) we can't and won't do it yet because we have to follow the law.

Well, the Lord can only blame us for not trying hard enough to change the law. And we're definitely trying. Sister Palin will see to that.

The death penalty (for mass murderers and the like) is not comparable to saying you would (if you could) kill someone if you think they are a nonbeliever.


I would ask you to reread the New Testament and particularily in respect to the New Covenant.

I hardly think that theories on the shape of the earth are something the Lord would condemn one to hell over, so why do you pursue it with such bitter vehement anger?

Friend, I happen to believe that the shape of the earth, just like Young Earth Creationism, is an important foundational doctrine of faith. Plenty of so-called Christians are happy to point out the lies and deceit of scientists in regards to evolution and the age of the universe, but they chicken out when it comes to accepting the whole, 100% literal truth of God's holy word. If we ignore even one part of the Bible, we are calling the Lord a liar, and that will NOT help your chances of getting into heaven!

Precisely, all of what the Lord says is law, therefore, when he says he will make a new covenant, that is the new promise, the new laws which we MUST now follow.
Change not one jot or title and do not think you can do away with his new teachings in order to follow the more violent ways which were necessary in the past.
It would seem you are conveniently forgetting this so that you may take out your own personal revenge on the world.
