Now, if you'd bothered to read the other 420+ pages of this thread, you'd realize that that exact picture has been posted at least a dozen times, and the implications thoroughly refudiated (NASA conspiracies, PhotoShop, etc.).

But you're too lazy to do that OR to come up with an argument* for a heliocentric solar system that hasn't been trashed. So why should the True Christians™ bother to respond YET AGAIN to the same old gribble?

The other day I heard an interesting idea I thought I would share with all of you.
The ultimate reason for your belief that the earth is flat is Isiah 11:10-12, which refers to the four corners of the earth. The rest is just mostly faulty physics and faulty geometry used in an attempt to prove that the earth is flat.

This passage can still make sense with a spheroid Earth, if we think of god as a being that exists in more than 3 dimensions.

This is a bit hard to explain since we are used to thinking in 3 dimensions, but a good parallel can be drawn from the transition from two dimensions to three and the transition from three dimensions to four.

Imagine a place called flatland where only two dimensions exist, there is no concept of height, just length and width. If you attempt to show a sphere (or any other three dimensional shape) to a being in flatland they can only see a single slice of it at any one time, they would perceive a circle, and would be completely unable to show that it is in fact a sphere.

Now scale that to three dimensions, as we are only able to perceive in three dimensions. If god exists in more than three dimensions then to him a spheroid Earth may have corners. We are unable to perceive them because we exist in three dimensions.

This is a poor explanation of the concept of working with transitions from one dimension to another, but I hope someone will be able to see that a spheroid Earth and Isiah 11:10-12 may be compatible.

I can't show you a picture of a spheroid earth, as that would be taking a 3 dimensional object and projecting it in 2 dimensions, a flat picture. Every picture will appear to show a disk shape Earth, because a picture of a sphere will look like a disk. But that picture will also not show all of the sphere, and thus pictures from space will only show part of the earth, some of the continents will be missing from the picture as they are on the far side.

I do wonder how satellites work with a disk shaped earth, or how time zones work. If the earth is a disk, and the sun rotates around it to cause day/night cycles, then all of the Earth would use the same time zone. Sunrise would occur at the same time across the planet, at which point time zones become pointless, the sun would be at the same spot in the sky at Seattle and at New York.

What is on the other side of a disk shaped Earth? Has anyone ever been there? How thick is a disk shaped Earth?

Honestly that audio clip sounds like someone had too much fun with a audio distorter. A garbled audio clip is hardly proof.

I'm not calling God a liar, if anything I am making that passage make more sense as a disk does not have four corners. If you wanted to go to the four corners of a disk, where would you go?

Why would the sun only shine on a small portion like that? what is blocking the rest of the light?

Once you are in Hell, there is no coming back. The only battle with demons you will having is to try and tolerate the pain they inflict on you. It is not some PlayStation game you can turn on God Mode.
