Please, PLEASE point me to where Newton's theories on gravity say that faster-than-light travel is possible.

It's possible because his formulas don't take into account the mass of the object or how close it travels relative to the speed of light.

Thus, using his model, any object -- regardless of mass -- can achieve faster-than-light speeds given long enough acceleration, either through gravity or otherwise.

Einstein's formulas do take these factors into account and that's why it's a better model of physical reality, particularly on a cosmological scale.

US courts are actually obliged nowadays to allow people to simply affirm that they will tell the truth. In 1991, a federal appeals court ruled that it was unconstitutional for a judge to compel an atheist prospective juror to either swear or affirm, since either oath could be viewed as essentially religious. Today, while mandating that witnesses swear an oath of some sort, federal and most state rules of evidence do not require any mention of God. Ohio Revised Code merely says “a person may be sworn in any form he deems binding on his conscience.”

Oh, and I do actually have several theories. I just don't pretend that any of them are absolutely perfect and utterly self-confirming because they say they're true.
