Minor misinterpretation: that comment was made in response to you being a feminist. It's super OK for you to be a woman. We welcome it. It's just that when you think about having a career and being considered equal to men, then the Bible says "nope, that's wrong".

I think you may have misunderstood what I mean. What I was trying to get accross was the idea of respecting the right of others to have opinions of their own, even if I don't have the same opinions. Freedom of speech, in other words. I have no right to tell others what to think, just as they (in my opinion) have no right to tell me what to think. I can, however, hold healthy debates with others so that I can learn of their opinions and they can learn of mine and we can be mutually enriched. Whether either party then changes its outlook because of what they've heard/read is another matter.

I don't control the moderators. My somewhat philosophical point here is that you show respect for views according to which you should, well, shut up. You may respect the right to express certain views, but that doesn't automatically mean you respect the views themselves.

You can trust that our views on atheists will not change in any way as a result of this encounter.

It might surprise you, but we consider atheists as "better" than most Christians. This is because a LOT of Christians believe in some watered-down Bible-inspired version of Christianity that will send them to Hell. But they THINK they will go to Heaven, so they never make the switch.

As an atheist, you know you will go to Hell. You don't delude yourself into thinking you'll go to Heaven just because you skim through some parts of the Bible while ignoring all the rest.

That is why you are a more "fertile" recipient to God's penetrating love. You may make the choice to join us in Heaven.

You do not seem to understand what Freedom of Speech means, or even what the word opinion means. Freedom of speech does not mean you are allowed to make libelous (named defamation in American law) and untrue statements (fraudulent misrepresentation), it means you are allowed to express opinions.

Which brings us to the meaning of opinion. According to the dictionary it means:
"A belief or conclusion held that is not supported by positive knowledge or proof"
So an opinion has to be unprovable to be an opinion, otherwise it is either fact or fiction.

When you make statements about what you believe women should be allowed to achieve you are not expressing your opinion, you are lying. Why? Because there is definite proof in the form of texts with the power of Law that state women have a specific role in society and men another.

Friend why all the hate? What have we done to be compared to a Muslim theocracy? Where have any of us demanded that our females cover their heads? As far as the stoning aspect of the Muslim False Religion, they stole it from Christianity.

I have one very simple question regarding the nature of this post. Where in the bible does it say the earth is not round? I am not a chirstian, i am no aethiest but i am curious of both so im obviously not an avid bible reader.
