I have actually been to the edge of the Earth's atmosphere myself and have seen its curvature, i know it is round as i have seen it myself.
To all of you people who blindly follow the bible, think of this, it has been rewritten so many times, by so many different people that it can't be the same as it was originally written. I once played Chinese whispers and a simple message can be be distorted horrifically over the space of a minute by as few as 10 people. The bible has had millions of peole and thousands of years to have its message destroyed. Not to even mention the fact that it was originally written by people who just said they heard the voice of god. If i told you lot that i'd be spoken to by god you'd shun me, why should you believe people from 1000 years ago and not me?
This will be my last post as you just can't argue with people who refuse to listen to you unless you believe what they do. I'm glad the future of our race doesn't lie in your hands.

This is where you are wrong, the Bible has not been rewritten, it has not been distorted, they are all exact faithful copies of the original, the original that God Himself whispered into the ears of King James' scribes.

The Chinese Whispers game doesn't describe the Bible, Chinese Whispers describes science. Have you ever taken a scientific paper and looked at what the referenced papers say? And then in the references of the references? All the way back? After only a few generations you'll notice that what is believed the paper contains and what it actually contains don't even closely match. You'll also find many contradicting papers, all used as the source for the same science, and both worst and most obvious, you will not actually be able to go all the way back to the first science paper, because no library contains it, possibly because it has never existed in the first place. And without a foundation it is obvious that every scientific paper built upon the missing papers is as baseless as any other heathen fantasy.

How can you believe the world is flat? has the "4 corners" been mapped and can you fly to each corner and see an edge? of course not, that would just be silly.
for people who don't get gravity, imagine a tennis ball, at the middle or "core" inside the ball at the absolute center is where everything around it is falling into, except we cant fall into the center because of the outside of the ball or "skin", the larger the ball, the larger the gravitational pull.
and yes, it wont work on a tennis ball because it is so miniature compared to the Earth.
