Also, I had no idea that there were square balls too. Even if the Sun is moved around, if the Earth is flat, light will still shine everywhere. There will be darkness only if you place something physical to black the light from reaching a section.

Try it out yourself. take a sheet of paper and shine a flashlight on one corner only. You will still be able to see the farthest corner.

This shows that the Earth can not be flat. Unless you are insinuating that the lord has a great pool cover that he puts on half the world everyday.

I can't believe that there are so-called "Christians" out there who could possibly doubt for one minute that the Earth is flat. God gave us His Word that it is. That's all the "proof" I need.

I'm not that great with words, so I'm only going to talk about experiment 1, which is the simplest to explain;

People seem to forget that when you are standing on a moving object, you yourself are moving too. That means that you have momentum. When you jump, you continue to have this momentum meaning that you stay above the same spot on the earth when you jump because your momentum carries you the same distance as the earth moves.

Try the experiment that you suggested next time you are on a train; jump straight up and see what happens - chances are that you won't move much from the spot you started.

"But wait", I hear you cry, "that can be explained by me not wanting to smash into the unfortunate passenger behind me and so I subconsciously jump forward to compensate for the movement of the train."

That might be true, but let me repost with this: who among you can jump at the same speed as the travelling train? By that I mean, could you make it so that when you jump forwards, you would travel through the air at the same speed as the train?

Light is a wave, an energy, it is infinite, but is absorbed by matter, meaning that the lamp cover blocks the light and reflects it downward, light is pure energy, thus it cannot change direction.

it creates a cone shape because of the light rays spreading out from reflecting the cover. Then is stopped on the sidewalk because concrete has a low reflective quality.

Explain this.
