What do you mean by "flew a plane straight?" According to the "flat earth" myth, a plane "flying straight" would fly off the surface of the earth. Your choice of words is vague and reflects your lack of vocabulary. But planes fly everyday. Why haven't any planes flown off the Earth and why haven't any ships just gone off the edge of the Earth?

What is this simple experiment with a can of bean and a ruler you speak of?

I ask these questions because I want a logical answer, not some quote that doesn't at all apply to physics or geography.

No pilot would voluntarily fly off the edge of the Earth: he would loose his aeroplane licence.

1. We don't end up far away because of this little thing called relative velocity. We're going exactly as fast as the earth rotates and travels in space.
Aaaaactually if it wasn't for wind resistance, the truck constantly changing in velocity and too many other factors to list you would land on the same spot. Plus I don't understand the "falling off" part. I highly doubt they'd put a bed on a truck going 75mph with an open door on the back.

If earth was a spinning ball, then earth would have wind resistance too, if we apply the same science you use for the moving truck to a spinning ball-earth, then there would be constant 1000 mph winds. There aren't. So either there isn't wind resistance on a truck or earth isn't a spinning ball. Anyone who has ever rolled down the window in a truck knows that there is wind resistance, that means earth can't be a spinning ball. QED.

I'd like you to explain why when a ship approaches from the horizon you see the sails before the body of the ship? And if the planet wasn't spherical why wouldn't see the ship when it left the shore?

Ah, I've long been waiting for someone claiming to have seen a ship magically appearing while watching from shore.

Could you tell us some more details, when did it happen, where were you standing (at the beach, on top of a lighthouse or cliff), what sort of ship did you see, what size was it, could you give a time line (how much time did it take from seeing the top of the sails to seeing the hull), was the ship sailing directly towards you?

Heck, why can't you see China from LA? That's right, because the earth is curvature in shape.

Because there will be high waves in the way. Have you ever thought rationally? A 30 foot wave at 1 mile will block you from seeing a 30,000 foot mountain a 1,000 miles distant.

That picture is obviously photoshopped or a staged. You can see part of the sun, but it is much larger than even the skyscrapers, but when you look at the sun in reality it isn't much larger than an inch, so it should be completely blocked by the skyscraper. So the skyline of Chicago has to be scaled down version, or it is copied from a different photo.

To your argument why we see more as we go up, it's because more is revealed as we ascend. You know it's very simple when you think of it.

You can't watch around a corner, stepping back doesn't make that magically happen. Going up from a curved earth is the same as stepping away from a corner.

Or can you with your magical atheist eyes look around corners?

We know the Earth is flat because the Bible tells us so. But for those of you skeptical, close-minded types that flat out refuse to accept the overwhelming Biblical evidence, I have designed some experiments you can do at home that will show you, before your very eyes, that the world is indeed flat, and not spherical as some crazy scientists proclaim. It's amazing how many people blindly believe in a spherical Earth, without ever having seen it for themselves! I intend to change that.


1) Jump!
Now, scientists claim that Earth is spherical and rotating at a speed of between 700-1000 miles per hour, depending on your latitude. This is a very high rate of speed. You can disprove this nonsense by simply jumping up as high as you can. Really, it's that simple. What happens when you jump? You come straight down to where you were. But, if the Earth were indeed spinning at such a fast speed, wouldn't you land hundreds of feet away?

If you were to stand in the flat bed of a truck going 75 mph, and jump straight up, what would happen? You wouldn't fall straight down. You would fall out of the truck. That's because trucks move, the Earth doesn't. This experiment proves the Earth is fixed in space and doesn't move.


2) Blow!
Since if the Earth is supposedly a sphere, it naturally comes to assume what would happen to people below the equator, like in Australia? Since they are underneath the sphere, wouldn't they fall off? This is where scientists come up with mumbo-jumbo like "gravity" and "centrifugal force" to explain away their theories. So, the scientists want you to think that because the earth is so much more massive than people or things, that people will naturally "stick" to the bottom of the earth because of gravity.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off.


3) Get High!
Ok, this one you really can't do at home, but you can do it out in the world. Stand on the ground and look around you. What's the farthest you can see? Maybe it's a building, tree, or mountain. Now, find some place very close to it where you can get a much higher vantage point. (This also works if you're on a jet and about to take off.) Notice how in the higher place you can see much farther? You can see more of the world the higher you get. This shows the world is flat because the higher you go, the easier it is to see over obstacles. At the same time, it shows the world cannot be spherical. Because if the world was curved, the far distance would forever remain out of view because of the Earth's curvature. It would eternally be over the horizon.

If the Earth was a sphere, it would not matter how high you went, you would still see the same thing. Since this is not the case, the Earth is flat.


These experiments are all confirmed by creation scientists as being 100% accurate. If you're skeptical of the flat Earth, why don't you do these experiments so you can see truth with your own eyes.

Even though I am hated on this forum, I can disprove this scientifically, logically, historically, and Biblically (is that a word? Idk but it makes sense).

1. Good argument. That baffled scientists for years after it was discovered by Galileo. People said, if the earth is spinning, shouldn't birds be flung off the planet? Easy answer that has been proven right. The atmosphere moves with the earth. Making it feel like we are not moving at all. (If you do not believe this explanation, I encourage you to research on your own.)

2. This is also a good argument. I am no expert in the area of gravity, but I will use some explanations given by other Scientists. You mentioned centrifugal force. That is actually a possible answer. Another answer is the more Mass an object has, the more gravitational pull on other objects. One more way of looking at it is in space (yes we have been there, it is a real place) there is no up or down. We are as much upside down as them. (again if you disagree, do research on your own.)

3. I don't understand this at all. The earth does disappear over the horizon when you look in the distance. In a airplane, You are moving to. So the curve would grow stronger as it went farther. But you keep it at the same distance in an airplane. (research this for your self before you post against me.)
