  • Science can't proove love

Scientist always claim they can proove a lot and everything! They claim the earth is round, planets have gravity and black people are as intelligent as white people, just to name a few things scientists claim to proove. But here is my question to those scientists: How can you proove love?

You can only indirectly notice if someone loves you. That I love pies is well known at LBC, but nobody can see my love. They can only see my indirect love for pie by eating it a lot and talk about if quit often. So I wonder if scientists can directly proove love. In my case: My love for pie.

So scientists with all your fancy pansy evildence, proove love to me.

    Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

    Deuteronomy 7:9
    Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

    Nehemiah 1:5
And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

    Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    Dirk,

It is so nice to read those lovely Bible passages. I have yet to see a scientist prove love like the Bible.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

Now now, Brother Dirk! I have seen you devour my pie and it is more than apparent that you love it as you can never seem to get enough!

I do understand what you are saying though. I have seen and heard of people falling in love with people that an on-looker would say "hey... what is he doing with her" and visa versa. When asked what they love about that person, they are always lost for words and cannot define it at all and usually end up saying something like "I don't know, I just do."

That is a human condition though and as they claim to have theories on just about everything, but as scientists cannot even define that, so how could they possibly define the love we True Christians™ have for The Lord and the love, He in returns has for us.

If they spent more time reading the KJV and less time looking into their test tubes and funnels for answers, they would see it all as clear as day!!

        God IS Love!

And what better book to quote in this instance than John!

        1 John 4

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19We love him, because he first loved us.

20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

        Amen!!

Let's see if secular science can top THAT!

          Re: Science can't proove love

BBC Thinks it's like cocaine! Now that is science alright.

          Love on the brain
Researchers have identified pathways in the brain which light up when teenagers are in love. Falling in love seems to have a similar effect on the brain as using cocaine. It's so pleasurable it's almost like an addiction.

          Brief loves
Researchers have identified three phases of love. The initial physical response is 'lust'. The falling in love is called 'attraction'. The emotional commitment, required to make relationships last in the long term, is known as 'attachment'.
Teenagers seem to experience the attraction phase more strongly than adults, but their failure to enter the attachment phase may be to blame for the short-term nature of their relationships.

          First love
Everyone remembers their first love. Few experiences will ever be as intense and overwhelming as your first crush. When teenagers develop a sense of extraordinary closeness with another person, the experience has echoes of the close contact between mother and child in infancy.
Falling in love as a teenager is more intense than the experience in adulthood. But these early relationships usually burn out quickly. One survey showed that at age 15, dating relationships last an average of only three to four months.

          Lessons in love
However short-lived it might turn out to be, an experience of passionate love can quickly become the most important thing in a young person's life. Teenagers in love spend endless hours talking, either on the phone or face to face.
This intimacy teaches them about their own identity, simply through becoming close to someone else. Intimacy also involves openness, sharing and trust, so it also contributes to maturity.
As well discovering new emotional feelings, most teenagers also experience new physical desires as well.

Why can you remember your first love? BBC Science and Nature's guide to the science of teenagers will tell you why.

They are also encouraging fornication. Read the last line. I am so offended right now. If scientists want their own children doing sex and drugs, that is their own business. We want our children to join us in Heaven, though, so we hold them to higher standards.
              II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J.
