What an odd question.Originally posted by Alex__ View PostI'm not sure what all your guys theory/belief (whatever you guys call it, I'm not sure) on how time was created. Would one of you like to enlighten me?
There is no "theory/belief" - we know that God created everything, time included."And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
John 8:32

Ah ok. Just that I'd never seen anything about time in any kind of Bible. Do you have any scriptures or anything, specifically stating it? (Not something like "...God created everything..."Originally posted by Helge Fossmo View PostWhat an odd question.

And by the way - why don't you introduce your self in the Introduction section so we can greet you properly?"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

God created time to ensure that everything didn't happen at once.Deuteronomy 2:7
For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.

"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."
Hours and seconds are human inventions based on the concept of night and day."And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Re: Who/what created time?
Time began with the passing of the first day into night; right after God got done creating the sun and moon and stars. Read your Bible It's on the first page!

Ecclesiates 3:10-11
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I can't believe your asking this. God created everything including time, what would make you think otherwise?Originally posted by Alex__ View PostI'm not sure what all your guys theory/belief (whatever you guys call it, I'm not sure) on how time was created. Would one of you like to enlighten me?

Re: Who/what created time?
God is beyond the applications of our measurements of time - and our time is relative to his whim. For he is the beginning, and the end (Revelations 22:13). That being said, GOD clearly created day and night (Genesis 1:5), and we created measurements, in between; as Helge Fossmo eloquently put it.
Ironic, that we see the answers of our time in the beginning, and the end, of our Holy Bible. This is definitely a sign.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
