It's an interesting question!

The best answer is that secular scientists are generally atheists and, therefore, have no room for God in anything they do. They haven't found anything because they won't look for anything. If they stumble across something, they pretend to miss it. Their deliberate obtuseness is a large part of why God will send them to the fiery depths.

There's also another trend, apart from atheism. The deification of the planet is quite in vogue now: neo-Gaia-ism or some claptrap like that. The basic tenet is that we are all "her" subjects and evidence of "her" power is found in everything: from plate tectonics down to our DNA. The new crop of Gaia-loving, hellbound so-called scientists use the corrupt narrative of geologists and astrophysicists in their evolutionary lineage of their false god. Like the atheists, they deny the existence of the one true God.

Billy Bob reminds me that Lisa is barren. Therefore I think that $10,000 is a little high. If she would promise to work extra hard and sleep no more than five hours a night until she is of retirement age I would pay her father $8,000. This is of course because they are friends of the family.

I have no idea how to consider cost of living between now and then, and I am not going to try, but in Roman times, a shekel was a unit of weight that was about 14g (230 grain weight). At 94% purity, despite very high spot prices of silver due to liberal manipulations to devalue the U.S. Dollar, that is ~215 grain weight per shekel @ $26.37 per troy ounce (480 grain weight) on the New York Spot Silver bid.

43/96 x $26.37 x 50 is $590.58 at the current exchange rate. So it's only ~$600 in today's money to buy a wife. Glory!

Where is the money from? What is it being spent on? The answer to these questions is in the same chapter you quoted from, as you well know.

Your familiar, vile manner with good Christian women is an affront. You would not converse with women like this in your own culture, hypocrite. Of course, your religion is full of hypocrisy. Fasting during Ramadan? What fast? You all gorge your gluttenous bellies full as soon as the sun sets. Perhaps you think your god cannot see at night?
