You are right, I'm not sure how a shark would get into a goldfish's bowels.

Also, in a goldfish bowl the goldfish have ideal conditions for their species. if natural selection made them any bigger, they would out grow the bowl, so evolution, if it were sped up, would keep them that size.

Did you notice the picture I gave you? Did you compare the size of that Goldfish to the shark in my post above? Please explain how a goldfish of that size could fit in a bowl that the shark that I mentioned would not fit in.

Ps. Sharks didn't evolve from fish, they evolved from Saurians.

Reverend, I'm not saying that a goldfish is going to turn into a shark, all taking biology in university taught me is how much garbage is involved in the theory of evolution. Yes the bowl would have to be huge, and remember that the theory states that the goldfish would give birth to a shark, not as our "educated friend" tried to say that a gold fish would one day decide that being a shark would be cool and just will himself into another species.

Actually Pastor, the smallest mature shark on record is smaller than a large goldfish, so technically, it could fit in a large goldfish bowl (or a koi pond anyway).

According to your statements above, fish decided one day to sprout legs and grow lungs so they could go on land. That is not evolutionary theory.

The basic concept of evolution is that mutations are random. What is "necessary for the animal" is not a factor.

If a mutation results in an advantage for the animal over others, then the mutated animal survives and reproduces. If it results in a disadvantage, the mutated animal does not survive. This is called "natural selection".

You don't understand Creationism, and you don't understand Darwinism. Do you understand anything, or are you just here to pointlessly argue about things you don't understand?

2 Reasons why your fish haven't evolved in a couple days.


1) Evolution takes place over millions of years, not over the span of a couple days. Yea, I know alot of you are gonna whine that the Earth is only 6000 years old. If your gonna say that the scientists are wrong, maybe you can just think for a minute that the bible, written by a man, could be wrong on a few things as well.
2) Evolution takes place because changes in the environment make it necessary for the animal to change, or the species will not survive. The reason why your fish haven't evolved is because you feed your fish and take care of them. You provide their needs. If you take away their needs (or at the least make sure that they have only just enough to barely survive) and wait a million years, the fish will adapt themselves to get their needs.

Because it takes at least a week to properly breed two goldfish, and evolution is the result of thousands of tiny mutations over the course of thousands of years.

And people have been breeding goldfish for thousands of years. So why are there still goldfish? Why haven't they turned into something else?
