Even if I don't believe in the god of Islam, that doesn't make me an atheist.

If I worship anything, that thing becomes my god, and therefore, I could not be an atheist.

One cannot practice atheism towards anything. One either has no god (atheist) or has one god (monotheist) or many gods (polytheist).

But if you just use the first sentence, you are being deliberately deceitful or you lack the intelligence to comprehend what you're reading as the second sentence clearly gives context to the first in exactly what kind of scales Brother Monty is referring to.
