Dinosaur demise allowed mammals to 'go nuts'

"scientists believe"! No one outside this forum likely gets the irony in this phrase. Aren't we are supposed to accept everything these scientists tell us as fact? Why use the word "believe", then? I think it's because, deep down, the reporter really knows that it's all perverse make-believe. They all just hate God so much that they will never come clean on this. (Much like atheists will never admit God exists, no matter what evidence smacks them in the face).
Still... these scientists are incredibly gifted. They've created an amazingly intricate fantasy narrative! Such a waste of talent, of course. Imagine what kind of world we'd live in if these atheist science-worshipers lived Godly lives instead?

Land mammals went from small "vermin" to giant beasts in just 25 million years, according to a new study.
Writing in the journal Science, researchers say mammals rapidly filled the "large animal" void left by the dinosaurs' demise 65 million years ago.
They then went from creatures weighing between 3g and 15kg to a hugely diverse group including 17-tonne beasts.
Further growth was capped by temperature and land availability, the scientists believe. [...]
"just 25 million years"? The Old Earth Heresy is so rampant that this is a short time? They are so comfortable with all their previous lies that they happily heap more on top.
