I don't say that life on earth was made by space men, as you know I hope by now, but did they once come here? Did they breed with us? I can't say "No" and there is quite a lot of stuff to hint that yes, they may have done so.

Tithing was current BEFORE The Law. Christ fulfilled requirements OF THE LAW and His Priesthood is of the order of Melchizedek.

God teaches us:

Psalm 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Why was such a Priest necessary? God does not leave us gasping but continues to explain His Plan:

Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Once The Law was fulfilled in Christ we had access "behind the veil" Mark 15:38 and a new Priesthood, the priesthood of all believers - the body of Christ .

He is a Priest of the order of Melchizedek and as such receives tithes. God explains in more detail:

HEBREWS 7
9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

The Priesthood which receives tithes is the priesthood which pre-dates Mosaic laws and the Christian Church is that Priesthood. False prophets, bank robbers, Romish catholics and idolators across the world are not that priesthood and are deserving of nothing. This new Priesthood receives tithes (as opposed to paying tithes - or anything at all, as was stressed by Abram and reiterated in the letter to the Hebrews who were probably hatching some ruse to gyp everyone out of anything they could get their hands on).
The reference is Genesis 14 and in case you were thinking of spouting any additional gobbledygook I would point out Abram's clear response: there is no doubt who was paying tithes to whom, whose priesthood is defunct and who today receives tithes. The consequences of disregarding God's Word are catastrophic.

Ah well. Seeing as how God is already going to burn well over 90% of the world's population forever for not worshipping Jesus or following His commandments I guess one more choosing Hell fire over eternal bliss with Jesus is not such a big deal.
