The water wouldn't decrease by 0.0012% every 6000 years past 12 000 years ago, as that's when man supposedly began increasing then. Not to mention replenishment of nutrients and water from each creature that has died. If the earth were however many billion years old, water would not have run out.

Happens all the time. He sees himself as an logical, intelligent rational atheist, and us as a bunch of ignorant, superstitious, irrational hicks. When someone like him gets completely demolished in debate, cut to the quick, and his faulty arguments exposed by people like us, his pride won't let him accept that "irrational" Christians are right and he is wrong.

Cognitive dissonance hurts, so his brain tries to protect itself, and he rationalizes his defeat by convincing himself that no, we don't really believe what we say, we're just putting him on.

Here's the point: God gave us science...

My friend, didn’t God give us His guidance, the Holy Bible? Don’t we have to follow it word by word - as per 2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 30:5-6 and especially James 2:10: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

Why should He give us afterwards something that would contradict to the first? Is there any scriptural evidence for that? Would you like to say that secular science doesn’t contradict the Holy Bible? Which side are you on?

Who says we reject science? We just want good and proper Christian science that sees the world from God's perspective. Not this rubbish pushed by atheists so they can have sex with other men and farm animals. All we ask for is scientists to stop trying to turn people into animals. It's hateful and racists for one thing.

Well I was just making the point for the people who were denying evaporation for example. A natural process that God ordered at the beginning of time, to deny this scientific process of the cycle of water doesn't make any sense. God gave mankind wisdom to understand the world around us.

Here's the point:
God gave us science. God ordered things in a certain way to happen in a certain way. There is no conflict as a Christian in understanding these processes, in knowing how the world works, in recognising the chemical change that occurs when water is heated and turns to steam.

To bury our heads in the sand and to suggest science is evil and its Christianity v Science until the end of days. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Hello people.
First let me say that I am a Christian and I don't wish to offend anyone here. But there are some seriously worrying mis-conceptions being thrown around here by Christians (as well meaning as people may be, they are simply wrong).

Evaporation and the water cycle is a fact. There has never been any risk of the world 'running out' of water, no matter how long you believe the world has been in existence. I don't really need to say more.

On the first page a suggestion was made that a similar problem could occur with oxygen, and if the world was x-billion years old it would have all beed 'used up'. Again, no offence, but this is nonsense. The process of photosynthesis through plant life will ensure we do not have to worry about suffocating anytime soon when we're out for our morning run.

Here's the point:

First off, very rude. Secondly, do they not teach the water cycle in catholic schools? It's a really simple concept, much simpler than believing that god just magnificently replenishes the water supply.

I'd just like to add that some half-educated dimwit is likely to show up here and claim that all the water we drink is eventually given off as sweat and urine. Well, just think about it – that would mean that all our streams, rivers, lakes and oceans would consist of sweat and urine. Every time it rains and snows there would be sweat and urine falling from the sky. The entire earth would be a giant cesspool of sweat and urine – we would be making our coffee from fresh urine from our faucets and bathing in sweat and urine. Well, logically you have to go with the Bible (KJV1611) on this one.

The thing that's bugging me here is that the only evidence whatsoever for Jesus Christ is the Bible. Now I'm perfectly OK with that because I need nothing else because the word of God is fine by me. Yet we have agnostics and atheists quite happy to concede that there was some guy called Jesus but just that he wasn't the son of God etc.

All they're doing is cherry picking and appeasing people they don't want to upset. If the Bible is a lie then Jesus simply did not exist. Yet he did but not in the way the Bible says.

And they have the nerve to have a go at us for believing in stuff they say people made up.

You see, the Bible says Jesus existed, where He was born and so on and His significant deeds. It's all there as witnessed. It's clear that atheists and false Christians are cut from the same cloth in just picking the bits they like and ignoring the rest from the whole experience of life, never mind the Bible.

What I said "Jesus was real", what I did not say "Jesus Christ was real". There was 3 mentions or relativity to a person named "Jesus" that was not Jesus Christ. Jesus was a very common name back in the day, Hebrews used that name a lot.

Quite seriously, a True Christian would know instantly which was the real Jesus as Jesus Himself would be guiding him in understanding.
