                Oh but they did. From about 120cm and physically pretty weak hominide to the robust creature you can now see in ZOO.

                Still to our eyes it looks more like gorilla than a human.

                PS: Thanks for the great picure, I always liked this one I just reject being called gypsy. I live in a pretty nice house and haven't moved from the town of my birth.
