Friends,
The Creation Science community is abuzz with the latest findings from a crack team of geologists studying earthquake activity in the Dead Sea region. We know from the Holy Bible (KJV 1611) that an earthquake accompanied Jesus' crucifixion.
Matthew 27:50-53
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
By studying varve sequences from three core samples taken from boreholes located along the shoreline of the Dead Sea, the Creation Scientists were able to determine that an areally extensive earthquake in the region occurred in 31 B.C., with another regional earthquake occurring between 26 A.D. and 36. A.D. Using scientific intuition, they were able to narrow down the most likely date to Friday, April 3, 33 A.D.
So there you have it. The next time we get some know-it-all atheo-fascist in here telling us we have no extra-Biblical evidence for Jesus' temporary sacrifice, you can use this as an example of conclusive proof found outside the Bible.
