    Re: Tired old atheist arguments

I was making a point of choice in religious context. Letting kids get molested and addicted to drugs was not the point I was making, it was taken the wrong way. If my child were to cut themselves from a fall, they would know why they did it and learn to not do it again. That was the point.
    Matthew 12:30:
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

You shouldn't leave the choice of religion up to your child. The choice of religion could potentially do more damage than a scraped knee from a fall. What if your child wants to become a fundamentalist muslim? You may think it's all right to decide on, or invent, your own religious truth. L. Ron Hubbard and Jim Jones evidently thought the same thing. And Joseph Smith; the book of mormon was clearly a fabrication, yet today millions of people take it as absolute truth. If you looked at the origin of every religion except Christianity, you'd probably find same pattern.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Oh yeah, and if your child broke his neck from the same fall, well that will surely teach him.

Spending all eternity in Hell, wondering why nobody taught him about the Bible.
