  • WE'RE WINNING

    Oh friends! Glorious Day!

Starting today, PopularScience.com will no longer accept comments on new articles. Here's why.

Siting some opinions written in the New York Times,
    • Uncivil comments not only polarized readers, but they often changed a participant's interpretation of the news story itself.
    • In the civil group, those who initially did or did not support the technology — whom we identified with preliminary survey questions — continued to feel the same way after reading the comments. Those exposed to rude comments, however, ended up with a much more polarized understanding of the risks connected with the technology.
    • Simply including an ad hominem attack in a reader comment was enough to make study participants think the downside of the reported technology was greater than they'd previously thought.

Siting another opinion piece in the same New York Times:
    • IN 1982, polls showed that 44 percent of Americans believed God had created human beings in their present form. Thirty years later, the fraction of the population who are creationists is 46 percent.

PRAISE JESUS ALL GLORY TO GOD!

In this day of information, the Word of God is overshadowing the gospel of science! More and more people are distrusting these scientists and looking to the LORD for the Truth! And this has the Darwinists running scared! They can't handle people knowing what they're up to, so they have to hide it! HA! Just like those Roman Papists who wouldn't let people read the Holy Bible and had it printed only in Latin so the average American couldn't read it. But the LORD's Will Be Done! And His People Will Know The Truth!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

    Re: WE

Hey, if you don't like what you are hearing, all you have to do is cover your ears! Even scientists know this.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

There is nothing incompatible between Darwinian evolution and the idea that the Universe, and human beings, had a creator. You Biblical literalists are painting yourselves into a corner from which you can't escape--anybody who takes a paleontology class can see for herself the evidence that supports the theory of evolution by natural selection.

The Bible is a great book, filled with much wisdom, but it simply IS NOT literally true, especially when it comes to matters of science. Why don't you instead support the scientific study of God's wonderful Creation? Is your faith really not strong enough to live with the facts instead of your fantasies?
...as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14 (emphasis mine)

Scientific study cannot save my soul, neither can arrogant people standing in white coats thinking they know better than God. Until they can, I'll go with Jesus my Savior.

No, it isn't. No faith should be strong enough to believe that God made the worlds, but for some reason went really slowly to let it evolve, making God's direction unneeded and useless. That is just stupid.

The Bible says SIX DAYS was the creation time for everything (see Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11). Why isn't that good enough for you?

Either God created us or He didn't. Now choose.

What is it about halloween time of year that drives the crazies into the public sphere.

Why would you seek to reconcile The Truth™ with some secular diatribe used to justify nambla?

Let me rephrase: Is your faith in science really not strong enough to live with the facts instead of your fantasies?

Well that's just crazy talk. Are you saying that the Ressurection is not literal? Lazarus coming back from the dead? Jesus walking on the water and turning the water into wine?

What metric do you use to decide what is literal and what is not, in the Bible? If God had not wanted it in the Bible do you not think He has the power to remove it?

Or do you ignore God's omnipotence, also?

              Think about it. God bless.
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Both the Old Testament and the New Testament cite the Genesis creation account as literally true. I guess we're supposed to believe what you say about God's Word instead of what God's Word says about God's Word?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

This isn't just about faith, friend. This is also about not being duped by the latest scientific fad. Scientists come up with all kinds of hair-brained theories because they need something to set them apart because the competition for money from Big Pharmaceuticals is so great. Big Pharma decides what "science" will be fashionable, and scientists run right out to find anything that might stand for evidence, write it up, make whatever statistical magic happen, and get money.

It's not that our faith is not strong, it's that we are fighting a Spiritual War here (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; 1 John 5:4-5; Revelation 12:7-9), and we refuse to let Satan have our children. Not all children have parents who are strong in the faith, but they deserve to hear the Truth, too: If you never hear of Jesus during your life, you will go to hell.
