These are not merely my opinions. First and foremost, they are supported by the Christian Bible.

And as such they are the beliefs of men like Fred Nile and Gordon Moyes.

These men, like all real Christians, sincerely believe that God will torture unrepentant sinners in Hell. They believe that God's will is expressed in floods, scabies, earthquakes, infant mortality, and famine. (The Bible says explicitly that God can AND WILL punish backsliders and heretics with disasters and diseases.)

But of course Christians believe other great things as well. Fred Nile believes that he and his co-religionists are absolutely right and everyone else in the world -- every Hindu, atheist, Unitarian, Buddhist, and traditional abo -- is not only wrong but damned to Hell for being wrong.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

In other words, Christianity is completely absolutist: Jesus is TRUTH. He is the only way to righteousness. No human soul approaches God except through Christianity.

OK. What does a powerful guy do if he believes that God has damned all Muslims to Hell?

Well, what does it matter if a war kills a million or so Muslims? They are all going to Hell anyway and will be tormented for eternity, so their lives are worthless! (Jerry Falwell, the famous American preacher, said that anyone who is not a born-again Christian is "a failure as a human being.")

Why not start a war that kills Muslims? If one saved Christian benefits, then the deaths of the useless, damned ones is justified.

Saved Christians are the ones who are important. They are the only ones who follow the real God, the central Power and moral judge of the entire Universe.

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

You must remember these things, because the elitism, the absolutism, is a fundamental part of Christianity...and it is one which is very seldom acknowledged from the preachers' pulpits. But it is central to the Bible. And it underlies the assumptions of every Christian politician, teacher, and activist.

The problem isn't what carbon dating can or cannot prove. The problem is that you lost all credibility by claiming something to be a fact when (a) it wasn't true and (b) about two minutes of research on the Internet would have uncovered the error. Why should anybody trust anything you say? You are at best reckless with the truth and at worst an out-and-out liar.

Why do you say Adam saw the serpent? The Bible doesn't say that Adam saw the serpent. And, if Balaam's ass could talk to him, I don't see why a snake couldn't speak to Eve.

So, with all of that extra time he put into it, there was plenty of time to create the dinosaurs--that was like a 15 minute job, tops. Now what's the mystery you're trying to understand?

But friends what about Carbon dating, surely that proves that the earth is millions and not thousands of years old?

Dude, look up carbon dating on wikipedia or something like that, and see how far back it can date objects, before you come in here with your millions of years nonsense. Even the so-called scientists don't think it can date stuff back millions of years. Of course, the Bible tells us to follow the Bible and not science so-called when there is a conflict.
