Re: Easter Bake Off!
Dear Bethany, this is what happens to people who use that devil weed, marijooanna. They lose the ability to communicate and to function in real society as well as becoming homers. I'm sure that our poor 'friend' here (who is destined to spend the rest of its days after it dies in the fire and brimstone that Satan has in store for it,) was once a pleasant enough human being, even though it had the weakness that Satan exploited. It is so sad to see that deterioration in what used to be someone made in God's image. This is why we must remain ever vigilant against Satan's efforts to penetrate our souls.

Thank you, and you are quite right. The other one actually looks toxic - perhaps it's best to keep it simpleOriginally posted by Attila's Wife View PostI prefer yours, Eva. The other one, though a good shape, has what I'd describe as the Chernobyl effect. Cakes shouldn't glow in the dark, should they - unless the candles are lit.

Yes how very, very odd indeed!!Originally posted by Attila's Wife View PostIt looks delicious and hardly green at all. What is interesting is how much it reminds me of the Italian Easter cake called the Colomba, which is supposed to represent a dove in flight.
Who would have thought that two such different cultures could come up with such similar cakes!

Mind you.. My cake was a bit off to start with - this was what i was going for

Oh, well I'm sure pleased that it meets the right standard... somewhat anyway.Originally posted by MitzaLizalor View PostI have got my technical advisor, who happens to be here this evening, to scan your pastry (I don't know the Swedish name for it) and the amount of green is quite low, I am told.
Sometimes there are green bits. Cakes shouldn't be green.
I think the right name for it in danish, would be a "korskage", if anyone would care, but never mind my silly language

@ Naomi Ruth Lamb - please do not chop up the toadstools, just send them around whole and I can dispose of them appropriately, thanks

Yes of courseOriginally posted by MitzaLizalor View PostThank you for confirming that.
I know you'll understand how we need to be alert given some of the "ingredients" around nowadays..
I have noticed that baking a cake in accordance with the true message of easter, can be quite difficult at times...
Do forgive me - again I'm having language trubbles (I do hope you will bear with me) You have checked a-what-now?Originally posted by MitzaLizalor View PostI've checked your ..er ..what do you call it? ..and was happy to see it seemed to be more-or-less the right colour.

Yes, it's amazing what some people will do with toadstools. Especially after that absinthe "mishap" not too many years agoOriginally posted by Attila's Wife View PostThat would explain a lot. One can only pray that too many of the former do not lead to a "tragic" accident with the latter, as I am sure you would all miss her.
