VictoryOS, look at what you're driving these poor young men to.

Just pick one already, and be done with it!
Acts 13:8 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Lol, so now you are taking back what you originally said about my post when you accused it of using logic to arrive at Christianity I assume? Because you now you realise I committed no such falsity? Now you know x being y does not make y x. I knew this all along, but didn't post about it because it is obvious, a simple rule of logic we live our lives by every day. This post was intended to highlight the empty illogical shell of a belief in atheism, yet now it is a lesson, me teaching you about logic and when, where and how to use it. Quite disappointing. All because you had to defend atheism.

Or are you changing the goalposts now you have been scored upon, thus denying you meant what you said earlier? And claiming you were not ignorant of agnosticism? Hah.

I feel it would be easier and more effective to run over an atheist.
Barbaric, gruesome and highly illegal, I'm so glad i joined this forum.

          Re: The fallacy of Atheism

          A very interesting angle.

          Believing implies having Faith.
Faith implies accepting facts beyond the possibility of falsation, and i reckon it is the only way a person can embrace a religion without having to renounce to logical thinking.

Simply believing, not trying to follow a logical path towards the understanding of god, because it is an unexplainable belief.

In that sense, it is imposible to proof that god does not exist, so you can safely believe. Noone is going to be able to demostrate your god does not exist.

But (and this is the sad part) noone will be able to demostrate that any other god, past or present (from Amon-Ra to Inti or Thor) is unexistant, because religious beliefs are not falsable.

So, believing in god, any god, is a matter of faith. And your faith is as true as the egyptian's faith, the aztec's faith and the muslim's one.

You almost had me! I had to double-check my bible! But I remember correctly; it does not say, "O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears, except, of course, Anubis, Ilamatecuhtli, and Allah."

Luckily for everyone though, false gods, no matter how much you believe, will never answer back in any way (because they don't exist). God lets you know you are on the right path when you believe in him.

Don't say that is the fallacy of no true scotsman, because the standard never changes, God will let you know when you become a True Christian. That is how you can be sure.
