How about some simple common sense as well...

What have they got to live for ? They know nothing of te joy, the rapturous engagement with God and his word. Each day they live is the same empty crawl from rising to sleeping. Each day filled with moments of epmty nothingness.
Would that make you happy ?


What have they got to look forward to?... More days and weeks of the same emptiness. Over and over , like some eternal loop of damnation in a living hell on earth.

What have they got to die for ? Nothing, in their eyes there is nothing to come. Just a full stop. A dark cut-off of being, zero existence. In their view life just terminates, so all their living amounts to is a steady addvance to a dead end.
At best they must spend their life in fear of the inevitable, terrified by the prospect of the vast empty void they think they know is there.
All the time they are alive they no nothing of the real majesty of doing good works, they can never experience the selfless amazement of doing God's will and serving his name and cause.

What is the truth they wil know ? Judgement. Pure and simple, swift and total. One day they will stand to be judged , and they will be found wantiing , derelict and damned. Then they face an eternity of hellfire and torment for their atheistic heresies and sinful, God-denying ways...

What else could they be but miserable and afeared...
Maybe all the misery and sameness , and empty squallor of their souls , well that's just an installment, a small down payement on the torment they're going to face on The Day...

Look at where all the wars and , famines, and genocides happen...They aren't happening where God's word dwells in men'shearts.
No , they happen where evil holds sway , God is denied ,and false Gods are raised high...

Atheists are miserable, because that's all there is for them, and it's all they deserve.

Unfortunately, too many times I share a similar view of how much I should devote to being a shepherd of the lost.

Every time I ask myself how far should I go to save the souls of the wicked, I simply look to maps of Paul's missionary journies.

In seeing these, I don't see how anyone could dispute that he was a man directly chosen by God to carry his Word. And to think, Saul used to be one of the greatest persecutors of Christians of his time.

Excelent post. We do have a duty to preach the Gospel to all, but, to be candid, if athiests want to burn, I'm not going to go too far out of my way to stop them.

In my personal opinion, athiests worship themselves. they laud their intelllect and look down on individuals they consider to be debasing themselves by rlying on the "crutch" of religion.

They're content with the thought that through their own powers of deductive reasoning and intelligence, they have unraveled the mysteries of life and have discovered...a great nothing.

The only thing an athiest has is himself. he knows that once he dies, he will cease to be, that the onl thing he'll leave in his passing is the clay and dirt fallen from his decaying bones. The athiest is alone. Love has no divine importance. Virtue and faithfulness have no value, in short, the only things they allow themselves to enjoy are the bitter fruits of that thing we call "civilization."

If they knew the truth of the consequences of their ways, they wouldn;t be sad, they'd be horrified. Then again, if they knew the truth, they would make the right decision and praise God the Father Almighty.

Unfortunately they do not, and cannot until such a time as God reveals himself to them through we, his servents, or through other divine means.
