I was searching the Internet for other churches that are as tough on sodomy as Landover, when I somehow stumbled upon this. Immediately, I felt my stomach lurch and my jaw hit the floor.

How, I wondered, could these people call themselves Christians -- let alone Baptists -- while wallowing in sin and depravity? Do they even read the Bible? Apparently they do.... or something.

What Does the Bible say about homosexuality?

"Not Much!"

One further observation is worthy of consideration. Nowhere in the New Testament is there a discussion of homosexuality or of any homosexual practice. The three New Testament references are part of lists made in the larger contexts of other discussions. Even if the importance of these three passages could be maximized and be shown to be directly relevant to today's discussion, the very incidental nature of the references would relegate them to secondary importance.

When a parishioner asks me what the Bible says about homosexuality, my most honest answer must be "Not much!"

Not much? NOT MUCH? What about explicitly stating that faggotry is punished with disease and damnation?

Romans 1:26-27
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. That doesn't look like "not much" to me. And they handily toss aside the countless Old Testament passages condemning sodomy, justifying this with the heretical lie that Jesus Himself ignored the Laws. It seems these homers will stop at nothing to spit on the loving God who created them -- and who still loves them, even as he rots their bodies with AIDS and tosses their noisome souls into the lair of Beelzebub.

Who told you that? Not JESUS! Jesus Himself clearly upheld the practice of tithing. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the other things undone" (Matthew 23:23). As recorded here, only days before His death Christ plainly confirmed that tithing should indeed be practiced, along with sincere adherence to the "weightier" spiritual matters the scribes and Pharisees were obviously neglecting.

We believe that's how it started, yes. A nigra in Africa mistook a monkey for another nigra (an easy mistake to make) and fornicated with it. Since he had not committed the sin on purpose, Jesus gave him the disease of AIDS instead of striking him dead on the spot, allowing him ample time to repent. Whether he did so or not, we can never know; however, we do know that at some point he raped a white man, whom Jesus then turned queer so that the promise He made in Romans 1:26 ("due penalty for their perversion") could be fulfilled.
