I haven't joined a forum just to write one reply. This forum.. absolutely breaks my heart. I've cried before because I'm ready for God to come back and get his people.. but I have never, ever been this disturbed by something in a long long time. Normally whatever I read on the internet I take worth a grain of salt. There's a lot of people out there. There are a lot of opinions. But this.. hurt. To the point that I shake while I write this.

I had the joy of being raised in church, from the time I was born to present day. But not everyone has that. It's a fact. Not everyone has that luxury.

So I have one simple question.. How can you ever show anyone who wasn't as priveledged as we were to find God early, to God if you don't prove to them that you have an amazing grace in your life? One of the main things that brings a lost person to God is the act of watching a "true christian" and realizing that the person has something in their life that he or she does not. Whether it's peace, or satisfaction or just pure bliss.

This particular thread is a disgrace. And the response forums who are supposedly made by mature adults which are filled with nothing but angst make it even worse.

For some of you, this reply has made no sense and you'll just write back a silly retort. For some of you this reply has made a lot of sense and you might be question the type people that you surround yourself with.

For the other part of you, God teaches that everything should be in moderation. Nothing is good in excess. That includes good things like cheesecake, and love, and even religion. Satan can use your own love for God against you, and if you don't try the spirits and check your faith, then you'll destroy your life with your own hands.

I was just wondering what the difference was between practical and theoretical rape. I've never before heard of such a concept.

Also, I wouldn't count marrying someone as sufficient punishment for rape, especially since on this forum I have also seen people talking about how women shouldn't be doctors and so on, and should be serving their husbands. So really the man would have raped the woman, and then she would have been forced to marry the man raped her and then acted as his servant for the rest of their married life.

Nice? It's a horrible punishment for the man. He has to not only marry the woman. He can't divorce her all his days. He has to put up with her incessant yapping about how he "raped" her until the sweet release of the grave. How is that nice?

Deuteronomy 22:28-29:
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

This is God's Will, and He loves us:

that automatically means that this is the best thing to do if you have been raped. Additionally, God will likely kill you if you do not keep His Commandments:

Anyway, I think you are being somewhat selfish here. In modern society, which has been perverted by liberal and feminist thinking, people tend to see everything from the perspective of the woman.

People tend to forget that the man is the victim of this punishment: he suddenly is forced to marry this woman, whom he probably doesn't even know, and he is forced to greatly adapt his way of living from that of a single man with the freedom of a bachelor to the life of a father, with a family to support, and with the great responsibilities that come with being the master of the house. That's quite a harsh punishment for that man, considering the fact that he all might have done it in a drunken fit. Suddenly, his life is turned upside down!

So you see, God doesn't like rapists, and punishes them by forcing to marry the women they raped.

im not saying believing in god is wrong. i have many friends that do, but look at all this its hateful, and disgusting. no more posts for me it truly makes me sick to know that theres people in this world like this. as for my children, there amazing, smart, and they have beautiful imagination and when they get older they will be aloud to believe in whatever they want!

Whilst her point maybe wasn't made in the best way; the fundamental basics are right- NO-ONE deserves to be raped, and you definitely shouldn't have to marry the man who raped you.
After all, rape is a crime- you wouldn't marry someone who tortured you, or killed someone close to you... why would you marry your rapist?

My dear, all we are is devout True Christians™. We read the KJV1611 Bible. We follow its' every word, as God dicated. Some of it I do not like, I tell it to God. If He agrees, He will have the Bible changed. But until then, I do what he tells me to do. Is that so terribly wrong, to follow the Holy Word© of our Creator, our Magnificient Father?
