listen i want you all to have the freedom to express your opinion, so that i may have the right to express mine. my opinion is that you take this way too literally, i mean most of the bible was not written by god, or jesus for that matter. it was written by a bunch of old and very powerful men who decided that their god was the right one so they put all of their own personal opinions into scripture.

it is sad that you do not even know the history of your own holy book. it is not the word of god himself, it is the word of men who may or may not have had contact with god, and decided to write a book about the things they thought were evil and the things they thought were just.

Leviticus 25: 44-46



"Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly."

God has never said anything against slavery. Of course, He was telling the Jews they could buy slaves of all the surrounding people. They could also SELL their children into slavery, if they didn't want them, or needed the money.

Why would we find that offensive? Our new half-Negro President, Barack Obama, thinks the Bible is pretty nifty. Are you suggesting he's not read it, and lied to you all about being a Christian?

I believe a couple of our members would be happy to sell certain of their children into slavery, but it's currently illegal in the United States.

On to the topic of the thread. No, no one ever deserves to be raped.

Rape is hardly ever about the sex, its about domination and power. It is usually brutal, violent, and scaring (emotionally and physically) for the victim.

People have the right to choose how they want to dress, and the only thing that matters is how they see it themselves. If they don't think they look like a whore, then fine. You can think so, but they don't care what you think. You know so very little about the Goth subculture. It is not a highly barbaric or abusive one. I have met PLENTY of Goths who do not take part in self-harm, and are against suicide.

Everybody is different. People are going to have different opinions and see things different ways and believe in different things. It's ALWAYS going to be that way, no matter what. You might as well just get used to it, and try to be a bit more open minded.
