No, I think it is cleverer than that, you see the descending darkness, whilst we True Christians(tm) have passed through darkness and been re-born into a new, fresh light - but I agree, the metaphor is good.

Setting of the sun = end of the day
X
Birth of a new day = the sun rising
Are even these words too confusing?

So endeththe lessonDo you mean the sun rising? The sun rising is normally considered the start of the new day, not it setting. Nice metaphor, though.Originally posted by James Hutchins View PostMany of the followers of the True Christian faith read many various kinds of books, even those known to be full of lies, omissions and convenient made up 'facts' or perversions. It is the sign of a narrow mind such as yours who has not seen both horizons. Apparently, you've only seen the setting of the sun on the horizon, and not the birth of a new day.

Alright. Ever done drugs? Hallucinogens in particular?Originally posted by Mad Prophet Helmholtz View PostYou mean Invalidation, right? No, I am not insane. I admit I was put in a mental institution for several years, but I was released after they ultimately concluded that I was perfectly sane and not a threat to society. I have the documentation to prove it.
If you visited my site, you would see that I have my head on my shoulders and you'll probably feel guilty for accusing me of insanity after how much I've suffered in my 67 years of life.
It's called expanding your horizons. Don't make fun of something you don't know about. Are you too busy repenting to Jesus that you can't broaden your horizons?Originally posted by Bobby-Joe View PostOh yes, like a Christian has any time for some book written by a guy living in a tent in a desert talking to people only he can see.

Well, for that I need to assume your 'frame of reference'. Guessing you didn;t reference the Quran? As far as I have dug in my early age, I don't see eternal damnation being the one and only punishment. More like a waiting room of torture, then they let you go.And while you are at it, prove anything exists outside of my frame of reference.
Tough isn't it?
I'm a minor. I'm pretty sure a shorter life means less experience.I remember when I was young and thought I knew everything. Oh, I did think I was clever! I daresay I knew more than this wet-behind-the-ears tyke.
No shit, sherlock. I;m not a perfect individual, and I'm proud of it.But that was before I found Jesus and realized I was a worthless bag of sin in my youth, all pride and no real substance. But again, I was a nicer bag of sin than this mouthy jew brat.
