It's 'silly' because you are extremists, who take everything literally. Everything that ISN'T in the Bible is a Sin, according to you.

God created everything in this world, so He has the right to hate it or love it as He pleases.

How is the act of baptism "extreme"? Baptism IS in fact in the Holy Bible. Have you never heard of John THE BAPTIST?

And in any event, the question was on superstitions, not True Christianity™. You know, like black cats?
