    Re: Hypnosis

    Concerning Hypnosis

I actually have a bit of experience with hypnosis, which is what prompted me to start this thread. In my (limited) experience, the primary mechanism of hypnosis is actually the alteration of belief. Which is to say, any and all effects that come from hypnosis seem to me to be the direct result of alteration of belief.

This has always fascinated me. In my many experiments, I was captivated again and again by the power of hypnosis, which is to say, the power of belief. What Earthly power could compare to the power of a human being? (Granted, it would be all manifestations of God, then angels, then perhaps devils, then man, but you still gotta admit God gave man hella dominion on Earth.) And what brings forth that power more than belief?

I felt this would naturally be a fascinating topic for you good folks to ponder, though I admit it was in my ignorance. As often I also fail in Chess or Go, I simply did not expect the natural logical consequences.

However, I am glad (perhaps even proud?) to declare that I have learned from this experience, and I'm sure the quality of future posts will improve considerably.

Thank you all again for indulging me. I don't wish to impose upon your good graces, but I am grateful that you have tolerated me thus far.

      Dear Brother Buford,

Although I do love the thrill of battle, it is also deeply gratifying to run into a kindred spirit. Thank you for your generous reply!

        Hello Genesis,

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I could say that I'm sure I never hurt anyone too much with the experiments I performed, but nobody's perfect, right?

If it is something that deeply bothers you, I agree that you probably shouldn't go into any details. Pure Biblical fact is not nearly as forgiving as a counselor (unless the counselor is from here, of course.) I can almost assure you that you wouldn't like many (if any) of the hard truths that would be pointed out, regardless of the level of your accountability.

I would think that a knitting needle into the frontal lobe would be much more effective than hypnosis. But I don't have a medical degree so I could be wrong.

Hypnosis is a gateway to the occult . The only power that hypnotism grants is that of the devil, as it opens your mind to demon possession . Brothers and Sisters I implore you to repent of this sinful practice and give your lives to Jesus . Remember that Our Lord Jesus was promised earthly power by the devil too:

            Matthew 4:8-11 (KJV)
            Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

            Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

But speaking of hypnosis - just last Sunday on the abortion clinic picket line, I met this sweet little thang who told me she wanted to quit smoking. Being a kindhearted loving Christian, I agreed to help her, using hypnosis.

After the picket (which included throwing balloons filled with pig's blood at sluts entering the clinic - gosh, I just love that!), I invited said sweet little thang to the back room of our church where I told her that I had a Ph.D in hypnosis. I assured her that there was nothing to be afraid of, and that she wouldn't remember a thing.

Of course, the five roofies I put in her Coke assured that she didn't remember.

I don't want to say any more, except that she's still smoking. And boy, did she smoke while I had her "hypnotized," if you know what I mean. Haw haw!

By the way, I might have to be leaving town for awhile, but I'll keep in touch by email.

Well folks, I'm out on the road. I don't want to reveal my present whereabouts at the moment. I guess I need to explain - the sweet little thang started giving me a bad time the very next day after I hypnotized her. She complained that not only is she still smoking, but her panties where missing when she got home, and that she "feels sore down there." Of course, I've no idea what she's talking about. I think she's just another hysterical female. I tried to help her quit smoking, but she's just so unappreciative. "Women - no good deed goes unpunished!" is what my pappy used to say (just before he took a baseball bat to my mom).

Well, I'll keep in touch. Se ya'll later.
