Luke 5: 36 - 38
No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. [37] And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.

The reason behind Jesus asking the fishermen to follow him was due to education at that time, these two fishermen would not have known many of the old rules that the Jewish priests would insist upon. Allowing for his new covenant to be memorised much easier, while the forgetting of previous knowledge would be faster.

The same goes for the wineskin and garment talk. the new wine signifies the new covenant and the new wineskin signifies a new age, vice versa with the old. Jesus' new covenant will not work with the old covenant (made to those of Jewish descent only).

This verse says nothing at all about throwing out the 613 laws of the Old Testament. It says only that they gave up fishing and followed Jesus. What idiot has been interpreting scripture for you?

As Brother Billy said, this is not a new covenant.

Matthew 4:18-22 is about how the 2 fisherman became disciples.
Luke 5:36-38 is giving practical advice to people.

God gave you a inquisitive and problem solving mind so you learn from Him and His Word from the Bible.

The Bible is the Word of God and is to be followed as it is written. By not doing so you are corrupting his Word.

Ok here are two verses that show the annulling of the old covenant.

Hebrews 7: 18-19

18For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hebrews 8: 7-13


7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

To begin, there are 3 types of people on this planet, the people too stupid too reason, people too smart to speak, and the idoits who mix a cocktail of their misguided souls and kill the other 2 types..

There are people on this planet who are not so graced to even have a DAMNED WRITTEN LANGUAGE, and you here, a Rich person(Even if you are poor in American Terms, move to Africa, You will be the richest person there, because they never cared about doing more then just surviving.) and you want to go over there, teach them english so you can depress them with damned stories about how God hates them.

Do you feel good about yourselves? No? Maybe that is because you are too stupid to understand that you can make up as much crap as you want, you have around 80 years of life on this planet. It would only be 30 if we never got out of caves. So you have 80 years of your life, or about 29,200 days; each day you can do something different. That is 29,200 things you can do with you life, by following Christanity and going to Church to worship a god every SUNDAY, without anything else wastes 4,171 days of your life. 4,171 days of your life you could be out uniting this damned planet so we can do more things with our lives. But you spend 4,171 days of your life in church. You would spend about 4 - 8 years of your life killing others so 'God' can be pleased with YOU?


That is like growing crops for your town and burning 80% of them to please your Mayor. Your Mayor would much rather shoot you in the foot.


Point: If there is a god, he would be pleased with you not killing your own kind and helping to ADVANCE the Human Race as a Whole.
