There was a conference in nearby Des Moines last week for health care workers. Area Mayors were invited for some reason. Just to learn a little about this group I sat in on a session called, "End of Life Concerns in Various Faiths".

At this session, health care professionals were supposed to learn about the different practices followed by various religions at the time of death. I was amazed to learn that the Mooslim faith does not allow the body to be embalmed. Bodies must be buried soon after death.

While I am not a theologian, this seems terrible. Would not one want his or her sole to come out of a well maintained and attractive body when it asends? My guess is that people tossed into their dirty graves without decent preparation do not fare well in the hereafter.

Here is a verse from the Bible that I believe will quell this unnecessary discussion on Muslim burial practices.

Matthew 6:19-21

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

From this i hope you can see that all earthly possessions, including that of our bodies will break/decompose, before we get to Heaven. the only part of ourselves left will be our souls.

You must remember that Jesus himself was not buried, but laid to rest on a stone platform in a cave.

I was doing some research on this Mooslim practice. It appears they believe that Allah will bring the dead person back to life.

Here are some references from their evil Quran.

SURA 2:28 How do you deny Allah and you were dead and He gave you life? Again He will cause you to die and again bring you to life, then you shall be brought back to Him.

SURA 2:73 So We said: Strike the [dead body] with part of the [Sacrificed cow], thus Allah brings the dead to life, and He shows you His signs so that you may understand.

SURA 2:260 And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! show me how Thou givest life to the dead, He said: What! and do you not believe? He said: Yes, but that my heart may be at ease. He said: Then take four of the birds, then train them to follow you, then place on every mountain a part of them, then call them, they will come to you flying; and know that Allah is Mighty, Wise.

If you actually read the Bible, you will see that Jesus was buried within the practice of the day. A burial tomb. Where Mary found the body of Jesus had vanished.

Firstly, do you not realise the exceptional closeness between the Christian faith and Islamic religion. When the Qur'an mentions Allah bringing dead back to life, it is exactly the same as Christians being brought from death to life in the way of from our dead lives on earth to an abundant life in heaven, hence the "brought back to Him" from the first passge.

You are wrong. The Quran is telling them they can raise the dead. Please re-read the Quran quotes I supplied. I even gave the Sura which tells how to bring the dead back to life.

the Sura is a chant to allow a loved one to ascend at a progressed rate to heaven. it is not telling them they can raise the dead back to this plain of existance.

if you are being this nonsensical, i suggest maybe open your eyes to other trains of thought.

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

There is a special exception for Jesus because he was rising the next day. For the rest of us, there is a clear Biblical instruction squarely on point.

It is our job to care whenever anybody flicks their boogers on the Bible, which Mooslims do on a daily basis and this particular Mooslim practice is yet another example.

The only time I think it is acceptable for Mooslims not to bury one of their dead is when our Godly armed forces leave an insufficient quantity of him left to bury. A good rain and they are dust soon enough.

The Sura's are not a chant. They are like verses in the Bible and Muslims follow them.

Of course it is saying they can bring the dead back to life.

Here it is saying they can be brought back to life multiple times;

Here it is describing how to bring the dead back.

how can you be so blind as to follow Christianity and believe in life after death (you shall ascend to Heaven will you not?)...and yet cannot understand that this passage implies the exact same concept.
