how can you be so blind as to follow Christianity and believe in life after death (you shall ascend to Heaven will you not?)...and yet cannot understand that this passage implies the exact same concept.

The difference is the Quran is not talking about eternal afterlife in Heaven or Hell.

that is where you are getting confused, the Qur'an is talking about afterlife in Heaven.

It is clearly evident from this passage,

Aal-e-Imran [3:55]
Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.

A passage that in many ways translates directly across into Christian thoughts, as for Islamic followers Jesus was a prophet and those who follow his path will ascend and be judged on their sins.

That passage of the Quran is different. It is talking about how Muslims are superior to non-muslims. and about the Day of Resurrection, kind of like the Day of Rapture

Of course the passage is different, it is the same as using a passage from Mark to back-up a passage from Romans. Your inability to see past your incorrect asumptions has manifested itself in tedious rebuke.

In regards to the "It is talking about how Muslims are superior to non-muslims". Is that not exactly how the Bible talks about itself as being the only way to Heaven? Each religion believes itself superior to another, in such choosing the 'correct' one is like finding a needle in a haystack. Also is it not a good thing that Muslims are leading people to Jesus (albeit the prophet, who seen from both Biblical and Qur'an text are one and the same).

Death comes quickly to Muslims who turn away from following Islam.
