You quote scripture from the Old Testament.

The phrase “Thou shalt not kill” is used in reference to murder. Self defense is not considered as murder.

Some of the laws established in the old testament times were changed by the authority of Jesus. He explained them at the Sermon on the Mount Matthew chapter 5, which the members of this forum I have encountered so far should meditate on again.

In reference to “thou shall not kill”, the law didn’t change however in the old testament times believers were given authority to stone to death the offenders of God but Jesus in the sermon takes responsibility of judgment and punishment of the “wicked” and instructs believers to have mercy, and be peaceful.

Matt.5:17 Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

He isn’t doing away with the law but He will administer the judgment and the punishment. That is what Fulfill means.

Matt.5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

When you DO finally quote Scripture (Matthew5:22) ... you give a half-assed version, leaving out the relevant parts. Both me and Brother Temperance have rebuked you on that one, fingers in our noses.

Sooooo... what do you do: you move on to yet another verse. This is NOT a Biblical version of the Special Olympics you know, this is a SERIOUS DISCUSSION.
