We don't think that we decide who goes to Hell. We don't think that we have the power to condemn folks. That's patently ridiculous.

No one sends anyone to Hell except oneself. The only one capable of damning you to Hell is you.

We are all students of the Bible, and we know how and why people are damned to Hell. That's why we are qualified to warn people, to try to get them to change their self-destructive behavior and accept Jesus before it is too late.

I just find it quite hilarious that some of the posters with the title "true christian" or "brother xxxx," are so quick to wish damnation upon others. I'm finished with this forum. I came here trying to figure out why some of you (biblethumpinblonde) are so racist or condescending on others, when they in turn offer no help or guidance.

I don't care what she thinks. I care what God thinks. I have an open Bible quiz for you about what God thinks of women.

1. What is the "natural use of women" (Rom 1:27)?
2. Who is the "head of a woman" (I Cor 11:3)?
3. Is it ok for women to speak in church (I Cor 14:34)?
4. If a woman wants to learn something, what should she do (I Cor 14:35)?
5. Are wives required to obey their husbands (Col 3:18)?
6. Should a woman be in a position of authority above a man (I Tim 2:11-12)?
7. Is it good for a woman be afraid of her husband (1 Peter 3:1-2)?
8. How should a wife address her husband (1 Peter 3:6)?

So we are supposed to read "assured of eternal damnation" as "the future possibly holds eternal damnation for this person".

Of course not, that's absurd. Everyone deserves eternal damnation, and everyone who hasn't accepted Jesus as Lord IS assured of eternal damnation. Therefore, that avatar and title could rightfully be given to ANYONE who isn't saved.

If we accept Jesus as Lord, then and only then do we become assured of eternal salvation.

I hope this clears up misunderstandings.

To answer your question here, some have blasphemed against the Holy Ghost. For others, the avatar and title serve as a glimpse of a possible (likely) future, like what the Ghost of Christmas future showed to Mr. Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol". It is a warning of the dire consequences they face.

So we are supposed to read "assured of eternal damnation" as "the future possibly holds eternal damnation for this person". You sound like some kind of pathetic liberal Christian. If the person has not blasphemed against the holy ghost, he should not be told he is eternally damned.

Mark 3:29 tells us that there is one sin that is so heinous that anyone who commits it will never be forgiven.

If someone commits that sin in front of us, then we know without a doubt that person will go to Hell and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

If you commit blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, your fate is instantly and permanently sealed.

I happen to be aware of an atheist site that is using this fact to entice people to willingly and irrevocably damn themselves to Hell. Satan must be cackling with delight.

I totally agree with how Landover people read the Bible, and even how they converse with people of other faiths. But I do agree that some posts are blatantly racist and blatantly designed to alienate people. That is not good.
